@@birdwoman.Birdman who built the walkway? I honestly can't get over the amount of work or the expense for the foundations if you paid a crew to do it! It's extremely impressive if that was done by 1 man with some random help. I see years of hard work there and it would have been the feature of that property that I would have found the hardest to part with. I'm extremely impressed with that walkway.

Wow! My husband and I have just found your videos and we are completely impressed with your compassion and reverence to this amazing property! As sad as the previous owners must be that they no longer have ownership - they are certainly deeply relieved and overjoyed that YOU and your family are now taking over the care and maintenance as the new owners! We are inspired by all your work and plans. You are exactly the right person in the right place to now own this gem! (And BTW - We will love to be on your rental guest list someday! We are gardeners and unafraid to roll up our sleeves too! ) Maybe a metal roof will be a good option? And the bidet is another very popular feature for European and trendy US guests in case you change your mind. Enjoy the Walk of Contemplation path - and it’s nobody’s business about the trees you clear. Protect the house from tree/limb storm damage and keep a clear fire circle from the house as well. Ask anyone living in towns wiped out by forest fires…. (Another reason for metal roof) thanks for sharing your property. You deserve it! Inspiring!

I’d love a full walk of meditation and contemplation video with you and the dogs. It would be really cool to only have the sounds of silence and nature to accompany it. It would be a beautiful and powerful auditory and visual journey through the wetlands and forest. I’d love to experience that and I think others would too. I feel like it would be rejuvenating and soothing for the heart, mind and soul. To just be silent and still in the cacophony of mother nature’s earth songs playing all around you… would be beyond healing and cathartic. Love it! 💗

There's a lot of truth in this, lol! You have to teach the littles how to use them, & make sure it's only on gentle, or else you can end up with some serious tearing issues, but a bidet is a beautiful thing ~ used properly, it is shower fresh every use! That's just golden, lol! 😂

Many of us may have been Americans used to seeing forests dozed for concrete, track housing and toxic lawns. It was wise of the new owner to elaborate. 👍

You mentioned that the previous owner was Swiss. I'm stereotyping perhaps but, the Swiss and Germans are known for their meticulousness when it comes to building structures, machines, as well as maintenance and record keeping. I toured a modern house built by an Amish family and it was the first and only house with wood stairs that didn't have a single creak. And the wiring coming out of the electrical panel was perfectly straight and all the wires laid flat without twisting and the retaining clips were aligned and spaced perfectly throughout the unfinished basement. Everything was pre-planned and detailed perfectly.

A home that it’s still evident today that was very much loved and cared for by its previous owners. I would move into this home and sell the other one. This home has a unique appeal that is not easy to explain, perhaps it’s the amount of love that the previous owners bestowed on it.

You can see signs it's been left alone a while. It's only because everything is so well made that it's in such good shape. The walkways are quite impressive. The work in building them would be daunting to most people. The dogs love it there. They look like they're having a blast. I hope you find good tenants and the place is always loved like it obviously was loved by it's previous owners.

@@gigiis526 your assumption of what i assumed seems to be way off, my thoughts were purely about the quality of workmanship - If it helps you my thought process was this was clearly a property that a craftsman who has a lot of pride in their workmanship built to the highest quality, and that they would appreciate seeing what somebody that not only appreciates their work but also clearly takes huge pride in their own quality workmanship does. Not quite sure what you find offensive in that as you say it boggles my mind

Thank you for sharing your new property. I love the fact that you will be renting out the property. Your property will give pleasure to many generations of visitors. I hope that, unlike Tony, they keep to the walkways and footpaths lol. The raised walkways were used in Europe hundreds of years ago to get around marshy lands before they were drained. Is it possible to still add solar panels to the roof later and feed back to the grid? Best wishes to you and your family in all your ventures.

Its so awesome to hear someone that is so keen into the craftsmanship of a property and knows quality when he see's it. Your certainly right that so many people would be so lucky to have their dream come true by owning a place as this is. Rarely though do we find a turnkey operational place as this with everything needed to make the home what it was and or is. I have lived on a lake many years ago but was lucky in a sense that where I was living everything was already in place including power on the grid. Though it was somewhat a primitive lifestyle I had running water, power as mentioned, my heating was done thru a woodstove which was more than enough (too much) but so nice to have a great efficient stove that would heat up that cabin in no time at all. I had to come to terms with somewhat of a lonely lifestyle though had people around but winters were long and wouldn't see people for days at a time. I lived outside a small rural town 5 miles away to reach the property. So was not like was way back in the sticks but certainly felt that way. Even thru the summer months when there was more traffic and people moving about the area, I felt isolated. Yet the place was so remarkably awesome with the scenery and having the lake right there only meters away, it was just over ten years of my life, I too , wouldn't change 1 second. I just obtained the status of becoming a local after 10 years living there when I made a choice to move on to a different part of my life. I have never had a regret over anything in my life and never will. I have put in the long days working to keep up a property right from the days when still living under the parents roof. I thank you for your appreciation of the property and its so cool that you've done the "homework" gaining the knowledge about the details about the trail what its purpose is and that your aim is to restore this place as when the owners before you had it. Thats so incredibly humble of you to the previous owners, a very kind gesture and gift from you, Im sure they will always appreciate what you've done almost in honor of them. I dont envy what you have there as I lived that life myself but can say that I am grateful for what your doing with whatever you can because your obviously a big man with a huge heart full of compassion and thats certainly a quality aspect of a man that goes along way in the world. Hard to find in a big city, certainly would stand out in the city but being from small town anywhere is where people like yourself, me, thats where we come from, but its our morals and ethics in which we are raised that forms of our foundation for life. Its evident in your video and i was very impressed to watch your video and will watch more as you upload them for sure. Thanks for sharing some of your life. Enjoy every second no matter what it takes because the beautiful property that you showed us will eventually be too much for anyone to maintain so its passed on to the next owner hopefully to appreciate as you have as the previous owners did. Awesome man, awesome !!!
