I’m just once again baffled by how well produced this is. It’s got the production value of something like a team sam vid, but the high-level insight that pretty only Josh has been offering on a regular/consistent/weekly basis (and even then, they’re just stream clips). Keep it up - it’s clear a tonne of effort has been going into these and it’s paying off. The way the KZfaq gods work, it might take a while for the channel numbers to properly represent the content (jumping from inconsistently-scheduled short-form content to more regular long-form vids will sometimes make the algorithm put you on hold, until its confident the change isn’t an anomaly) but the community really needs this sort of stuff 🙏

I appreciate the feedback and time you took to share those insights so much! We’re working hard day and night to get the best quality and stay consistent with uploads for you all so hopefully it pays off and we can raise the content quality in the yugioh space for more people to enjoy!

The great thing about the Zealantis repositioning that helps line up your board with SP and plays around super poly is that it also incidentally plays around Shaddoll Fusion and Dogmatika cards as you no longer control cards summoned from the Extra Deck. Great video, Jesse. One thing I would suggest for these types of videos is to display the lists that each player is bringing before the duel, it lets the viewer put more thought into what plays are potentially available to cross reference what you guys are actually doing. It helps with self assessment and reflection, as well as being more immersive

The video shows that even one of the best players has to put in a lot of work to learn a new format. I think it's great to make the other players aware of this. Many people believe that professional players can do everything without having to do any work

I appreciate this feedback because realistically we’re prepping for formats months before the actual cards are released and spend hundreds of hours on theory/gameplay so hopefully these videos help for you all to get a glimpse

This is honestly amazing content. Being able to watch pro players play is always good for showing new lines and plays you hadnt seen, but being able to hear your guys thought process while making your plays is so much more insightful and helpful. And thats not even counting the production quality. Really really great content, and i hope you do more.

2024 is turning out great for competitive content, 10/10 video. - The overlay was amazing, I really liked using the old OCG card layout. A minor complaint though that the field was small when watching on a phone, so maybe you could adjust the ratios a bit to make the field a bit bigger (I didn't mind it, but a friend with eyesight issues told me that and I believe you can improve on this) - My 2nd favorite part was cutting during the duel and explaining to us your thought process. This makes it so much better than just watching a regular duel and can help competitive players, and even semi-competitive (regional/national level) to make the jump to fully competitive. Your preemptive Crossout on the UDS started some informative discussions, having 2 players of your caliber analyzing probabilities and trying to abuse every bit of information to gain potential advantage on the fly really shows the difference between a competitive player to a pro player. - I 100% agree with the comment saying you should show us your decklists beforehand, and I would take this a step further to give us side patterns as well. It's very common to show a main and a side without discussing matchups and particularly HOW TO SIDE, and a lot of people don't perform that well because they can't side as effectively even with a proper decklist. - The Zealantis play (improving Ryan's gamestate) is very representative of how this series (it needs to be a series!!) should be. Winning because the board wasn't fully optimized would have left a sour taste. No takebacks on events, but playtesting should be exactly as you said, making both players better in the end. THAT GIANT COLOSSUS WAS AMAZING I'M SO JEALOUS!!!! The entire setup is very pleasing, i wish you get a giant Snow as well (I still have my Brilliant Snow Thunder Dragons ready to play)

Personally I also do "custom hands" where I always open a specific card to test it versus a specific match up with my testing partners. Otherwise you're just sitting there playing 10 games hoping to draw the card to see its performance and it becomes very time inefficient. This isn't so good when testing out an entire deckbuild/strategy, but it does help when testing out specific "tech" cards that might be good. Great video.

Loved this idea and format maybe lower music for next time it was overpowering over your voices, and it was hard to hear you both 😊I’m interested in the conversation more then the music and was distracted by it. Thanks. Also there was something running in the background maybe a fan or something and there was a lot of ticking sounds going on. I’m sure you’ll get the audio figured out in the future and your voices cleaned up and louder. Keep rocking it

Great video Jesse. A minor critique I think the audio mixing could use a little work it's a bit loud and cutting from the duel music to different music during the player segments is a bit jaring. I also feel the duel field could maybe be a little bigger. Other than that great video and hope to see more videos like this in the future.

This content is a blast! Even if I won't be playing the deck irl i really enjoy it from a game design prospective. No floodgates, meaningful interaction by both players during the course of the duel. And I know you do love Tear, but i feel like there are less non games determined by stuff like: "here they are my Kit Sulliek Dweller Planet and shufflers. Have fun". But that's just my personal opinion. As a spectator I'm more interested learning more about decks and formats of this league. So keep it up!
