This tank is a gas! Like any other tank, once you learn its strengths and its weaknesses and play to them, just so much fun. Glad to have added it to my stable, plus it makes my AC1 Sentinal happy.

AC 4 Experimental is kinda similar to the AC 4 Sentinel from WoT Blitz.

Also, 3 weeks ago, they released this tank in ASIA Server and Aussies delighted when using tank.

Its a crew trainer for my 7/1 crew but I needed to train a radio operator to 100% as AC 4 is a 5 man crew. Good gun but yes slow up hill and you don't want to get shot either. I have all British mediums so it was a no brainer for me. Enjoy!

I got the AC 4. I like it! Its great. You can't compare it with the cromwell's. 2 different playstyles. I think its more like the hellcat. And no matter what the numbers says, i bounce a lot with the turret when i use it hulldown. The gun is great and i dont feel the dpm. Is that bad. Sure the mobility is bad up slope. But on normal ground you can and will reach 45-50. And that is enough for me. "Thumps up" from me on that tank.

Like the Sherman Firefly I feel like this thing is something of a medium-TD hybrid. Kind of a slower, slightly tougher Hellcat with somewhat better traverses, standard penetration, and DPM. Since I enjoy sneaking about and putting shots on targets from outside knife-fighting range, I think I can get behind the AC4, and the credit/ExP boost doesn't hurt either.

i will definitely be getting this when it becomes available, as an aussie i love playing in my Sentinel and can't till they put it up for sale here, i just hope they put the other variants in the game too, but i think the twin or single 25 pdr variants will ever be included to game

Australian designed tank.. very cool... when they built the prototype, they did not have a supply of 17 pdr guns, so to see if the turret ring could take the expected recoil, they mounted Two 25pdr howitzers side by side to fire simultaneously. :) There are pictures online of this beast with twin 25 pdr's... :)

Bought it and already 70% wins and 3.7k WN8 (average damage 1530) over 27 battles; yup I like it :D

Had 1 on the SEA server a few weeks now. It up tiers very well and the tier 8 HT I slay with it rage in chat. Earns ok credits because you dont need the prem rounds. Turret it tiny so poking ridgelines is fun.

I have it, and find it fun. I put my Firefly crew in it, and sold that tank for the equipment. It plays like a sluggish Firefly, as it has the same gun. I also have the Bromwell, which I use as a crew trainer for the Cent 7/1, and the FV4202 doing the same job for my Cent AX. If I had not been short on credits I would have kept the Firefly, and thus had a training tank for each of my standard types (and I may buy the Comet again should I ever be able to afford it...) For the non collector/Brit line enthusiast I think the AC4 exp does not do the job of either the Bromwell or FV4202 - both are very effective tanks in their own right, and they fight like the machines whose crews they are likely to use. I think for many the AC4 Exp will be 3rd choice, over the Matilda BP (as much as I am a Brit enthusiast, I will never buy that tank). I will continue to play it, but I do not expect to see too many sharing the battlefield with me.

Thank you QB, but as always, the tank is really good and you portrayed it to be a bit underwhelming than it actually is, for anyone reading this, if you get this tank for free, its really really good, and if you have to pay for it, its better that you don't waste een a penny after this reward.

I, for one, really like this tank. It's not overpowered, but it can certainly hold its own. The gun is very nice, and can rip apart opponents on mid-range and, with some missed shots here and there, can even do some serious damage on long-range. The shells travel at a perfect velocity and allow you (well, at least me) to hit moving targets at mid, or even long range such as cromwells and even ELC's. The speed however isn't quite like the cromwell, as you mentioned, but it forces you to think about where you are going, and stops you from rushing down the enemy, wasting your precious HP in doing so.

i did well in my t 34 88 on fjords destroyed a few tanks i rammed 3 enemies and survived and got a lot of hits very proud.

It's a fun tank to use and I had picked it up through the Op they had for it. Thank you for the awesome content you put out. You're one of the reasons I started playing world of tanks.

50 rounds is more then enough tbh. Speed is not bad on flat ground or in general. But hills kills it off on most maps rather fast. But if you play it for what it is, a support medium. It's rather good fun. As a top tier the turret can be bouncy at times if you use the -10.

I would want to pick up the 17pdr AC 4 because it's a more comfortable Firefly imo. Exactly the opposite can be said for it's tier 4 cousin, as I see it as a faster matty with worse gun characteristics.

I bought this tank and love it! The gun is great and the mobility is great downhill okay in flat ground and heavy tank slow uphill. I seem to be averaging about 1 k damage per match(which is good by my standards) Just my two cents

I would take Rammer, Net and Binoculars and played it as a sniper/TD (cause it gets quite nice camo and TDs no longer get bonus camo from shooting)

Yo QB. I know you don't like low tiers but you should try the t-15 German premium light tank. This thing with binos, camo net, and vents takes the already impressive 350m view range on a tier 3 and makes this machine the absolute king of passive scouting even in tier 5 matches. The armor and gun are effective for when it's top tier only though

Personally, I prefer the laying drive over the rammer, given how little armour you have, and the fact you have the same engine durability as the M3 Lee, you really can't sit in the open for any length of time; in that case, I find more value in being able to snap shots off more quickly than having a faster static rate of fire.

Good thing console is giving it and the Cromwell B away for free if you earn enough points to get them. This was helpful for when I want to pick between this or Cromwell B

This tank is totally worth it. As a player played VK 30.01H 500 games at 56%wr I feel like at home. With better mobility, better aim time and dpm, better gun depression, top gun using on Black Prince,this tank is very useful even against tier 8 opponents.

Most likely because I'm Australian; I'd buy the AC-IV in a heartbeat. All that needs to happen now is for it to come to console.

QB, with lower tier premium tank, it is not important to worry about enemy placement on the map. First, you have the advantages of dirt-cheap repair on the tank. Second, lower tier tanks usually have bad view range. Third, Victory favors the bold! And fourth, Premium tank has easier MM :)) I can testify to my words above, as the proud owner of Chi-nu Kai and RAM II :))

The AC 4 is a different way to play. It has decent pen, but crap armor. It is fast while going slightly downhill, so it can become a great flanker and speedy as long as you use the map to your advantage. I would not say it is bad, or completely without merit.

It's just another Firefly to be honest. And I'm already having a hard time in that vehicle. For both the AC4 and the Firefly - I would hope that the low mobility would mean a trade-off for more effective armour, but no - it's still a tier 5 chassis in a tier 6-8 game. The poor gun accuracy also means it's not as effective at the medium-to-long range sniping which is safer to do in a weakly armoured, low mobility vehicle. Although the penetration is best in it's class, the alpha damage is not enough to totally destroy the tracks on most vehicles. So when I'm in the CQ brawl or playing peek-a-boo, I cannot stop the enemy pushing through to smack me one after I have fired. The gun-depression and a radio operator (for situation awareness skill) are significant advantages it has over the Firefly. For the low-to-medium range this is most effective at - where I would support a pack of heavies - the Vertical-Stabiliser will not make that much difference. And like the Firefly - or like any vehicle for that matter - it will prevail when the enemy team make errors like not covering their six when they get flanked. Mastery for a defeat! The enemy team were more drunk than this player.

I would love to see some Czechoslovakian premiums. Maybe a Prague uprising Hetzer or the LTH light tank Helvetia. A tank build for Switzerland. Come on Wargaming give Czechoslovakia some love.
