*I used to fish with a Crippled Killer growing up in the 50/60’s and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend think this lure gas a smoother propeller action. It is a great surface lure.*

I've been 3d printing molds for a while. PETG works well for injection molds. I have designed files for senkos, swimbaits, grubs, beaver style baits, curly tails, trick worms, etc... The baits to stick. They actually get easier to remove as you use the mold more. I suppsoe the plastic fills the grooves somehow, and I use a lot of mold release on the molds.

@@qislegit.donttrustthemedia6232 An ender 3 is a great place to start. It has the bed space to print some reasonable size prints, is reliable, and capiable of some good detail. Upgrade the PTFE tube to a capicorn tube.

Awesome video! Really opened my eyes to skirted baits!! Something that I think would work really well is a coffee twin tail grub with red and gold flake with a watermelon red or green pumpkin skirt. Love your videos man! Funds ran low so I couldn’t get those molds yet but I can’t wait til I do!

You have to let the 3d printed mold sit a lot longer than the aluminum ones, because the plastic doesn't transfer heat nearly as quickly.

Can you spray the 4 tail grub mold with mold release first? That may help the ripping issue...

You should have tried putting something like cooking spray in the 3d printed mold to allow for an easy release

I have been watching your videos for the past 48 hour’s and I love your content. Having said that I do have a question for you. I have a bunch of plastics in my collection crawls, worms, etc. What do you use for lube in you bags when you package your product or do you use any at all? And what can you use to keep your plastics from drying out in the packaging?

I'm just getting started on baitmaking so I had a little question. Does it matter when you mix the plastisol with the colourant? Like before or after the coocking of the plastic.

Have you tried using wax or a pre lube for that 4 sided mold. Were i work we pour alot of rub or silicone for foundries and wax helps release the rub better

Disappointment the four tail didn't work out for you...I tried to warn you about the heat LOL. The 3d printed molds are definitely a different ball game. As soon as I saw that cup smoking still before you injected that last time I knew that one was done for. I probably should have warned you about the de-mold process too, you kind of have to finesse each piece off at a time. Anyway thanks for trying it (and on video to boot) it was still fun to watch.

Chris I;ve tryed that before and 4 sided do not work in the plastic word I tryed about 20 times and with release agent No Go LOVE YOUr SHOWS MAN keep up the good work

Hey, what do you think about the black body and the pink tail for the small grub? The same pink that you were using for "electric chicken" twin tail grub. I think that would look sick!!!! BTW great channel, love the concept, great lures!

That mold meant for the body and tail as separate injections looks like you could prob use the duel injector and get multiple done at once after getting the first set of bodies done first

Printed molds not working good with hot plastic, best way is to make printed countermold and make them from that red silicone which is resistant till 300C

When I use the pancake griddle with molds @340 to 350 the plastics stick to the molds are you using a oil on you molds so they do not stick in molds?

Tore the tail off of bait twice, ruined a mold, made bait a different color than intended and spilled plastic. This is your worst video I have seen. OMG thank you! Sometimes watching you make baits reminds me of when I used to watch Norm Abram do woodworking. If your not sure, that is a huge compliment. I wear headphones and can barely hear the washer, if I hear it at all. Don't let the washer bother you Chris, I doubt it bothers your viewers. I also thought it was funny that you mentioned Marling Baits then shortly afterwords said "on to the next mold".🤣 Stay healthy! 👍🍺🎣

You know, you could be the first bait-maker that made baits in all the sports teams colors. Could also customize some of them by using the team logo (say, NFL helmet logo) printed on black eyes. I'd buy Colts blue and white baits with horseshoes as the eye iris. Just remember where you got the idea when you strike it rich, and let me have one of each...

Try oiling the mold may not stick to the mold. That is the problem with the stone molds. The bait sticks to really bad if the mold isn't oiled
