I love this! In 10 days , I'll be turning 65. It's completely crazy to me , because deep down inside , where my spirit lives , i don't feel 65. However, when i look in the mirror, i see the face of a mature woman who couldn't care less what people think or say about her. It took me such a long time to get to this point. I guess maybe I've reached a peak. All i know is that i like myself so much more now than I did when i was young and beautiful. If my looks were the price I had to pay for self love and acceptance, I do it happily. ❤

I am officially old so worrying is a terrible waste of time at this point, I turned 60 last April so that ship has sailed! Now that the initial shock has finally worn off I have discovered that there are some perks, like for example: people don't notice you as much, at first this doesn't really seem like much of a perk until it actually sinks in and you start experimenting with what that really means and the advantages it affords one becomes clear then you think: people don't really notice me as much anymore WHOO HOO! there are plenty of other perks as well but I don't want to leave too long of a comment here LOL! also remember what Pamela Anderson said: if you chase youth you are going to be disappointed, or something to that effect! OH! I just remembered a perk that is worthy of mentioning: senior discounts, I love those! Also as Diana Vreeland once said: women don't owe pretty to anyone so screw that peak crap!

One of the most powerful things I ever learned is that you don't owe the world a pretty face. I didn't know who said it! It really does feel like a relief when people stop noticing you as much. You finally feel like you can exist exactly as you like. For me it was the fact that men stopped talking to me in grocery stores. Whew! Glad that's over!

I'm 27 and I already feel "past my peak" to be honest, both physically and mentally. I struggle to see a future for myself that isn't just moving slowly downhill. I envy all the women my age and much older who are still out having fun, and who still have their best years ahead of them! I don't have that spirit anymore.

Thank you so much for this video! This topic has been on my mind a lot lately. I will turn 20 in January and I was afraid that I will enter my prime year not in my peek beauty. But now because of this video I gained a more positive view on getting older.

Aw happy birthday to you! I wish I knew at your age that beauty is truly about how interesting and kind you are, and that youthful beauty is so fleeting that it's a losing game to chase it. Amazing video… love the 5 year peak reframe. I am now 39 and have been having these meltdowns about my peak since my early 20s, yet in many ways I keep getting better (and somehow sexier!)

Love this! Maybe even more than your style videos. I am a mom of seven, nonnie of two, and I still am kinda wondering what I will be when I grow up. In a sense, haha. I treasure the wealth my life experience (indeed, not all rosy) has given me, and still very much look forward to the future. What you say in your videos resonates with me I think because am happy to fiddle around with my personal style until it matches what's going on inside, and then I am comfortable and confident in what I reflect to others.

also one last thought: those podcast people have some damn nerve judging the value of aging women as a topic for a podcast?! geeze! seems pretty lame to me, especially with all the other stuff going on in the world that's their chosen topic? pretty weenie (and weak) if you ask me!
