WPL C24 kit RBRC Portal Axles Install.

Күн бұрынHere we go! Let's get this C24 back to 2WS and install these Portal axles. These fit other WPL rigs and some other similar ones from other brands. Lets hope they survive some trail running.

Its been mostly a good truck for my adventures. It did start life as a kit with plastic gears to this.

Tip bro take the 4 screws that hold the axle to the brige. Put the screw thur axle into the brige .then the cap that the screws go into.make axles swaps way easer . More claerncs

this is my runner for sure. Gets out a lot because I genuinely enjoy it and it was my first wpl build ever.

Didn't even know that Portals existed for these! I just started with WPL... (but have been in RC since 1983!) HOPING to find some spot to run them in Tucson. NOT a RC friendly town. 😖

I assume you can run them on your local hiking trails. Always find great terrain that way. Just bring extra batteries.

Wax works better than grease on tge screws. Especially beeswax, because it then acts as a bit of a thread locker

If you have two of these portal axle kits you can convert the B16 to portal 6wd, but there needs to be some mad scientist shiz to get the setup right. These lil portal axles are tight!!

It would definitely benefit the military trucks to have portals because the gearboxes are low.

I seen some metal c hubs for these portals the other day. All I hear is about the plastic breaking.

When they break I'll repair them and look into the metal hubs for sure.

yes they break half way up round the bearing cup. when upgrading to portal axles you should really get the alloy c hub upgrade at the same time . even the 4x4 kits . order metal portal axles upgrade . metal servo the bigger 360? motor make your own metal links get the softer tyres with side wall grip . get all new hardware (nuts & bolts ) in 2.5m i went overboard and made everything in titanium lol it is nice

great, but concerning the lift it's a bit too much or u should put bigger wheels on it. that only my opinion. nice to see it's getting used as it should ...

definitely can run bigger tires with the lift or just lower it a bit for better weight distribution (less tippy).

Hi I have got the same axles I have put them on truck I'm using a 2 speed gearbox but the front wheels are running backwards am I doing something wrong Thanks Paul.

Your going to have to flip the orientation of the front axle so the pumpkin is on the opposite side than it is now. That will have the axle spinning the right way.

But if you flip the orientation of the pumpkin it will make the suspension lower in the front

I installed these, and the rear axle turns in reverse while the front axles are moving forward ..wy is that?

you need to flip one axle so it spins in the right direction. One of the axles just needs to be installed with the diff cover offset from each other.

I ended up taking the rear diff cover off flipping the gear around to the other side . Now it turns in the direction that it should thanks

I got them on Amazon. Just search wpl portal axles. I can't place a link to where I got it because they no longer sell these on there store. And when I placed a link to a store that store sold put too so the link was useless in the end lol.

yes you can use the portal axle as an upgrade. It will bolt up to the original links.

this is not a ready to run. I built this one with my own electronics. Im using a flysky gt3c and it has ridiculous range.

If you have a 3d printer they are method wheels 3d printed with a file from thingiverse.

Them plastic portals brake so easy killed 2 sets of them with in a day
