In This Kadhaipoma With Parveen Sultana program, we have a Writer Jeyamohan, Bahuleyan Jeyamohan is an Indian Tamil and Malayalam language writer and literary critic from Nagercoil in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
His best-known and most critically acclaimed work is Vishnupuram, a fantasy set as a quest through various schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. In 2014, he started his most ambitious work Venmurasu, a modern narration of the epic Mahabharata.
His other well-known novels include Rubber, Pin Thodarum Nizhalin Kural, Kanyakumari, Kaadu, Pani Manidhan, Eazhaam Ulagam and Kotravai. The early major influences in his life have been the humanitarian thinkers Leo Tolstoy and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Drawing on the strength of his life experiences and extensive travel around India, Jeyamohan is able to re-examine and interpret the essence of India's rich literary and classical traditions.
Born into a Malayali Nair family in the Kanyakumari district that straddles Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Jeyamohan is equally adept in Tamil and Malayalam. However, the bulk of his work has been in Tamil. Jeyamohan's output includes nine novels, ten volumes of short-stories/plays, thirteen literary criticisms, five biographies of writers, six introductions to Indian and Western literature, three volumes on Hindu and Christian philosophy and numerous other translations and collections. He has also written scripts for Malayalam and Tamil movies.

Aravind Sultana a dravidian sympathisers. She is not your open critizisisam about dravidian party leaders speach and writing as most of the novels written by these leaders were unstinting women in bad shape. had we talked to key tamil writers like this in the past, we would have been well off.. anyway, jeyamohan is understood by tamils as a rational, philosophical milestone / guide post in tamil history. thats important. I am not a great fan of his fictional writing.. but his social views are real, measured and golden... tamils and indian sub continent should hear his views first.. particularly his views on india!! some of his lectures like the one in oct 2 thirupoor will live for a thousand years!!! I hope so!!!

You mentioned about silappathikaram....Malayalam came in 1200AD. There are folk songs about Full Ramayana and that means they came earlier.

@@podangadubukus He was saying there is a original script in Malayalam about kannagi that is earlier than Silappathikaram. Oral ones change overtime; what was Tamil became malayalam today. Therefore, it is incorrect to make such conclusions about Silappathikaram. You should show from actual written documents originated at that time.

Sulabham=tamil word= yelidu,Sangam= koottam, saththam= sabdam yebadin thiribu, Sambhavam= Nigazhci Leaving these all aside,this excellent talk between these two intellectuals is such a soothening experience when we see mostly most debased ,demeaning and dirty talks and prattlings of most of the politicians and media blokes(sorry for using this word).I wish many more such clips are made available to the educated and decent folks of Tamil Nadu.
