Do you have difficulty moving your bike around the garage, spinning it around or anything like that? This is why Wunderlich designed and made the Easy Park, but is it that easy!
You can make it a lot easier..........
You need to buy 3 pieces of 12mm Acylic cut to 250mm x 130mm: £15.10
2 pieces 250mm x 65mm £5.03
sheet plastics.co.uk
Set of 4 50mm 200kg Moving Caster Wheels with Brake Heavy Duty Wheels from Amazon £11.99
20 x 40mm x 6mm Stainless Cap bolts
16 x 35mm x 8mm Stainless Cap bolts and nuts for wheels
6mm tap and wrench.
Couple of small pieces of wood/steel/acrylic to double side tape on the base for the front wheel to fit into, and some anti slip mat if you want.

Hi Andrew, I am so pleased it has helped. Not always easy to lift it up on the centre stand, think some develop better methods than I have, or are just stronger. But when it is on the Easy Park it is such a joy to just spin it around wherever you want🤗

Norman, thank you for your video. The correct way to put a bike on the center stand is to press it down with your right foot while the bike is resting on the side stand. When the left side of the center stand contacts the floor, then push the bike slightly away from you until both legs of the center stand contact the ground. Now press down hard using all your body weight. With my GSA, using my right hand I grip a strut from the baggage rack and pull it upward. I do this in one motion by pressing my right foot down and pulling on the strut. It is still hard to do especially when I have full baggage mounted. I’ll be forthright with you. I don't like this Wunderlich dolly, but I want to congratulate you for the front wheel dolly you made. A few weeks ago I received a dolly set from Dynamoto from Australia and I like it very much. It is very safe to install and at no time I feel my bike could drop away from me. Their design is very clever. I live in southern California, and I received the dolly set within 10 days after ordering it online. It was airshipped with Qantas from Brisbane to LAX in ~ 14 hours, stayed 3 days at LAX airport to clear US customs, and one day to reach my house in San Clemente. The set (rear and front dollies) cost me US$ 598.50 + US$ 85.00 for a grand total of US$ 638.50. So far the US Customs didn’t send me a bill so I guess it’s tax free. I understand it is quite a bit more expensive than the Wunderlich offering, but for me there is no comparison between the two.

Brilliant Star, I also have started to hate the Wunderlich Easy Park because I just cannot use it on my new 1250GS...I cannot even get the GS on it’s centre stand on my flat garage. There are now four of us who cannot get the new GS’s on the stands and we have all had GS’s before with no issues. Only possible way I can get my bike on its stand is to put the back wheel on a 1” plank of wood. Then I do exactly as you describe and it just goes up😫

Thanks Norman . Think most people will find a GS is slightly harder to get on the centre stand, but if you're struggling, run the front wheel on to a piece of 1/2" chipboard or something before putting the centre stand down. Makes it a doddle ( but remove the wood once its up on its stand . ) Cheers Roj

I bought the Wunderlich stand for my R1250RT about 6 weeks ago. On my first attempt to get the bike on the stand I failed miserably (5'9", 72 years) - I kicked the stand to one side and harummphed at another waste of money....a couple of weeks ago I thought I'd try again, this time emptying the top case before the attempt. To my amazement I succeeded - but then ran into the front wheel problem plus the castors just scraping across my painted concrete floor rather than rotating. Wish I'd seen this video before! Some more DIY to do in the garage now. Thanks Normski - I too thought I was the only one struggling with this 😅

Hi Alan, no you are not the only one. I am also 5’ 9” and 72 in a few weeks. I can do it and for me the front trolley means I can push it right in the corner, which is great. At the moment I am renovating a 1150GS so wheel my RT out each day. I just cannot face putting it in the Wunderlich every day🤷🏼‍♂️. But when it is on it’s brilliant 🤩. Hope you can follow how to make a front trolley, it is better than I thought, never fails 🤗

@@normski3091 I'm afraid I have "cheated" by buying a cheaper (and smaller) version of the Wunderlich from Amazon - £35. Popped that under the front wheel and it works just fine. The Wunderlich looks like it might be "sagging" a bit under the RT but I'm sure that must be an optical illusion 🤣 The next item on the agenda is to fit a footpeg lowering kit (identical to the Wunderlich one but direct from China 1/3 of the Nippy's price - even comes with the same instructions!). This is necessary because I struggle to get my toe under the gear shift in my new boots and as far as I can see the RT gear shift is not on a spline, so I can't adjust it further than the "rod", which is not enough. Is there a "knack" to gear shifting in adventure boots (or indeed any which have a toe box) which I haven't sussed after 50 years of riding, or is it that my ankles don't bend that way? My feet are only size 8, how to folk with size 12s manage?

Norman: Hello from Canada! Many, many thanks for video-documenting your approach to putting your BMW bike on the "Wunderlich" dolly. I have the same stand, though made by "ConStands," and it's a "bear" to put my 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 on - the effort required is substantial! Happily, your method of adding a block under the rear tire prior to using the dolly has solved my trouble! I also place a same-height block under my side-stand to prevent the machine from over-leaning. It's a safety thing. Your other suggestion to use a mini-dolly under the front tire is similarly brilliant, though I've opted to use a small furniture-move tri-dolly instead of building one like yours. It's 12" wide, is cupped in the center and the bottom is about 1/2" off the ground, which allows me to slide it under the front tire without trouble. With everything in position, it's effortless to turn the bike 180 degrees (to drive it out from its storage shed) or move it from side-to-side. Awesome, and such a relief! Well done!

The problem with this stand is the platform height. The rear wheel needs to be off the ground in order to move the bike around. You shouldn't need to build anything to raise front wheel also. Have a similar dolly and being 70, 5ft 11 3/4 and shrinking, it's an increasingly redundant piece of kit. The castors catch on the joins on flagstones and I've managed to tip bike over once. The bits of wood, front and rear skip off into the distance when the wheels push them away rather than ride up on. Discussed options, modify or go upmarket £££ with my local bike fixer. Handy hint from bystander there -- get front tire near where you want to be and then put rear tyre on the dolly, some success but is still a faff. Dynamoto got me excited but they say wouldn't work with my shaft drive. Going to have to get some of them amazonian castors

Only by switching the suspension from minimum to maximum which raises the GS a couple of inches, then with every ounce of strength and heavy boots could I just get the bike on the centre stand. Never in a million years did I ever think of trying to put it on the Wunderlich Impossible Park. I am 73 and only 5’ 8” and probably now more like 5’ 6”🥵. If you watch my latest videos I have just changed bikes to the massive 350kilo GoldWing Bagger. Cannot believe it but I can so easily put the bike on the centre stand😃. I've just bought the larger version of this for my 23 GSA. It's black and although well made the plate the material used is barely up to the job, it twists and flexes under the weight of the bike a fair bit giving you the felling of instability. My garage floor is matted with quality solid PVC tiles which are smooth, anything but smooth, anything other and it's not going to be easy. Because of the instability on anything other than a smooth floor, I think there's a risk of the bike possibly tipping over. I've got another dolly from a another manufacturer and the plate the Wunderlich is made of is a good few mm thinner. Sadly this latter version doesn't have the off set back wheel and the stand interferes with the frame and can't be fully deployed. At £169 it's not value for money, more evidence of cost cutting to protect profit margins!

Hi Gundimuck, I never had any issue with the thickness of the plate, maybe they have changed it, and once I managed to get my RT on the Easy Park then all was well. Just that it needed so much effort to operate the centre stand I normally gave up exhausted. Then I changed my bike to the 1250GS…no chance. For a start I could hardly ever get the GS on its centre stand anyway so just impossible to get it on the Wunderlich 🥵. I too was worried sick that the GS would tip over. So I put it on eBay and so relieved that I never have to think about it again. A muscular ex soldier bought it😮

@@normski3091 Yes I think they've changed the spec of the plate used, or changed supplier, as mentioned to increase profits. Mine was in a box marked very clearly on the sides with "Bike It" with just a printed sticker naming Wonderlich. I assume from that it's bought in and relabeled. Wether that is Wonderlich or Nippy Normans doing that I've no idea. I have personally have no issues with getting the bike on the stand, just that it's not as stable as it should be. I don't think it will fall off on smooth surfaces. Just feels unstable as you pull/push the bike. It could well be a different story on anything but smooth surfaces.

My 1500 Goldwing was a hell of a lot easier to get onto the centre stand that my GS1200 Adventure. I am 5ft 7in -ish. I bet you would have a market for those front wheel dollies. A great video. Thanks.

I have a much lighter R65 and am 6'3". The foot tab on mine is for dropping the stand, then you move your toe onto the bung at the back of the stand tail. The foot tab is not designed like yours to be pressed on hard. On level ground, simples. On a slight hump or using these movers, you cannot get your toe in to get on the bung. Even with slippers on! I do use my mover, but have to pirouette the bike up on side of the stand, kick the edge of the mover under, then pirouette again. It will end in tears one day. That 15mm makes all the difference (in a bad way). Also, the four double castors only have M8 centre bolts and all four have gone wonky already. One has stripped. Good idea in theory, but not universal.

I understand what you say. Every time I finish a ride I just cannot face all the effort of putting it on the ‘Easy Park’. It should be called the ‘Impossible Park’. I also feel that one day I am going to drop the bike😱. However I am in the middle of restoring a 2003 1150GS and the ‘Impossible Park’ is really coming into use. I can push the bike into the corner up to a mm from the walls and just pull it out when I need to reach something. Now I am calling it ‘Wonder Park’....just for this project though 🥳😱🤣

Would it not be easier if you put the wood under the front wheel instead of the back? ……….putting a bike on a stand when facing uphill is always much easier

Worth a try Steve and what you say makes sense. However it is the back you need to lift first to even start with the centre stand rising....but I will give it a go. Thank you. 👍

Hi Graham, absolutely. I have just done the amazing BMW off road school in Wales. Came off 5 times 😵‍💫. Now my beloved 1250GS has gone as in a heart to heart my wife told me that she hates riding pillion on the GS. So what do I do😱. Now maybe the time for a light nimble machine. Watch out for the next video😫

@@normski3091 Sorry to hear mate. You certainly got me thinking. Im now 70 and a geezer but I ride a R100RT and its starting to get heavy. My strength is fading and I loath the idea of going down in size. Ive been a bmw man my whole life and I think a Bonneville might be in the cards for me. I love my RT....and backing out my garage is a pain. Perhaps in my declining years I can find a hot female Russian wrestler to do the main stand dirty for me!!😜

I had to purchase them from Australia, I live in the United States. They got to me really fast. I recently added a sidecar to my r1250 GSA so I went with three universal fronts. They are well made and work flawlessly. Even on rough surfaces.
