Being able to casually ignore being stabbed and maintain character shows just how much pain tolerance is needed in pro wrestling.

The actor who portrayed The Punisher was Thomas Jane. You made it sound like it was his fault when you said he "accidentally grabbed a real knife instead of a fake one." The prop master and the armorer are both responsible for supervising. According to an article by MovieWeb, it was the stunt coordinator that forgot to switch the props out. That isn't really Jane's responsibility, that's not why he is there.

I always found the stab on Nash the best idgaf moment but knowing now that stab was for real and he had a poker face makes it billion times better

Thomas Jane didn't accidentally pick up the wrong knife. The PA in charge of props was distracted talking to a woman and put the wrong one out.

I also really love that they included the Oliver Platt punch on Macho Man in the outtakes feature of Ready to Rumble In all these years I’ve never seen any sort of follow up to it in terms of interviews where it comes up… like, was Macho Man pissed at all; did he laugh it off as one of the risks involved in entertainment or what… I’m sure there’s something out there from one or each of them but I probably just haven’t looked that hard

Nash knew he was stabbed immediately. According to him, he let out a muted “urngg” type sound while largely no-selling it, to which Thomas Jane turned and simply said “uhhh, I just stabbed him…” So no, he didn’t “only realize when he saw the blood”. He realized when he felt a knife get jammed into his lower shoulder. The super glue thing did happen though, again, according to Nash himself

Sounds like somebody was trying to kill Kevin Nash. Because if you're filming the movie wild you have a real weapon laying around with our filming the movie and they're going to need to use weapons. It's like putting real guns and real ammo somewheres while they're doing a fake shooting scene. So someone accidentally put in a real knife or accidentally grabbed the real life makes no sense.

So the original take and his reaction to having a knife sunk into his lower shoulder, not far from his heart, is what you see in the finish product of the film. Also when he throws Thomas Jane through the wall and he slams Into the staircase banister headfirst and then lands on head folded up like an accordion... that was nash really throwing Thomas Jane so there was the receipt for being stabbed. That's how the business works mr jane.
