If the software is online I WON'T BUY IT EVER!!!! I have to own the app that controls my cnc or anything else for that matter. Thanks for the good review!

As for the final pass thing, if you didn't cut all the way through but want to. You could always just go to the software and lower the total passes to 1 pass only and just set the depth cut to the actual thickness, this works as you've already cut all the material up to the last little bit you need.

1000% agree! I want a three axis probe. I’ve been thinking of making a two year review…. Great job!

I've been using a Carbide 3D 3-axis probe on my X-Carve for about a year. I wrote a short probing routine for it that works well.

@@TheSwedishMaker No problem. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gtZzhsJ907XLl5s.html is what I use along with the clamp from the X-Carve's Z probe.

I built it out of mdf. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kM6iZc55xpfcf5s.html There are some people that mount them to the wall and some have them fold down from the wall as well, but I had the space to make this and use the storage below for other parts, tools and whatnot

You buy a tool and they only give you three years with the software? That is not even remotely acceptable. Does your hammer stop working after three years too? Seriously. Upgrades is one thing, but the software you get with the machine you should be able to run indefinately and having it online is no excuse.

Bro, unless someone gave you the machine, this is completely useless investment! You can build a PRINTNC for half the cost, and it's performance will leave you speechless compared to what you doing right now. As you take the maker scene so serious, do yourself a favor and search it. BTW, I don't have a PRINTNC. But I've designed and built a similar one and I know what I'm talking about. Good luck with your life changing (I just finished watching the other video) 😉🤞🏻
@TheSwedishMaker

Thanks! I would probably have built myself a cnc If I had more time at hand. But yes you are right, its much cheaper.

@@pmsilvei Compared to just ordering a ready-made kit and assembling an XCarve, reading up, learning about choices, sourcing, and building a PrintNC if you've never done something similar before, it does take a lot more time. Just the wiring of the PrintNC probably takes as much time as doing the XCarve build since it comes with plug-n-play cable bundles, and the software solution of the XCarve with the tight Easel integration is easier to get started with. That said, I would still recommend everyone who feels they are in for a build to do a PrintNC instead, since it is a far superior machine for approximately the same cost, and having built the machine yourself and gotten the understanding will be very useful in the future when you need to fix something. And it won't have any of the problems described in the video that is a result of a wimpy belt-driven machine.
