She was focused on Mulder. Of course she didn’t see the pencils in the ceiling. Scully wouldn’t care about what’s on the ceiling, so she wouldn’t be expecting something up there.

I actually started watching x files because of this. I always was throwing my pencils at the ceiling when I was bored. A friend watched this scene and told me about that. Lmaoo

Love this scene SO much! Season five is one of my favorites and this is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series! SO funny and also says so much about Mulder and Scully ‘s relationship and how Mulder really does not do well without his Scully! 😅❤

It's from the episode Chinga, the one about the haunted doll. Scully: No, I don't think it's witchcraft, Mulder, or sorcery. I've had a look around and I don't see any evidence of anything that warrants that kind of suspicion. Mulder: Yeah, well, maybe you don't know what you're looking for. Scully: Like evidence of conjury or the black arts, or shamanism, divination, Wicca, or any kind of pagan or neo-pagan practice? This reminds me of HS, we'd whip pennies and dimes into the ceiling tiles cause if you flinged them fast enough they got embedded in the tiles. Or they'd bounce off and go flying around the room and hit someone.

Aside from the obvious shipworthy-ness of this scene, can anyone explain why Scully wanted to get an IWTB poster for the local sheriff (Jack) she worked on the case with? Or was she “asking for a friend” so she could get one herself... (she was kind of a ‘believer’ in this ep)
