A very exciting video today showing two different approaches into Kai Tak with a baulked landing in between the two.

Those buildings are very accurate. I've been in HongKong in 2015 and I could see nothing but tall buildings everywhere.

Going to have to go through your vids and 320 Sim Pilot's to really learn the A321. One observation though, I can't really hear the sound effects, it reduces the immersion a bit. I guess it's a trade-off between being in the forefront as the narrator and the immersion and enjoyment of the flight :-)

Yes you're right, it's a tricky one to get right. I thought as these are very complex procedures and there's quite a lot of explanation going on, quieter sound effects would be better, but I'll definitely tweak it for the future, they are indeed very quite.

I have some questions!! 1- how you make (break max show in blue on FMA in PFD) ? 2- in overhead panel how you show PACK FLOW CONTROL instead if ECON FLOW ?

A quick google and OCL is an obstacle clearance level (likely that tower you get *very* close to on the left,) something that seems to only be used for circling procedures--of which such an offset localiser technically is? I suppose it's used to be visual with the checkerboard rather than the runway threshold due to obstacles so it can't be a 'decision' height per se; the right turn will need to be made regardless if the approach is stable or not. This approach is made too easy with the 321's nice slow approach speed; you should give it a go in the Concorde from Singapore sometime. Extreme shame that never happened in real life.

You're a star thank you! I tried googling while I was recording but it was a bit too much multi tasking for me. Still cannot for the life of me figure out where the MDA was! 😅 Bear in mind the buildings in that area are not representative of reality, so that building would have certainly not been there when the airport was operational. With default scenery you would actually practically bump into 2 very tall buildings, and if you change the amount of world objects many buildings change completely, very weird.

@@matteochewie4373 there's a scenery for Chek Lap Koh airport that includes bridges and towers in both the island and Kowloon sides of the harbour; I'm uncertain if it's incompatible with any Kai Tak scenery; given the runway today is now a cruise pier and park; I wouldn't be certain, but I'll have to do some testing. The checkerboard is still there-albeit faded-and I hope will stand forever! Hong Kong is one of my favourite cities, Kai Tak one of my favourite approaches, and VHHH one of my favourite airports (and resident airline Cathay Pacific one of my favourite airlines;) getting the skylines as real as possible in my sim is very important to me! Whatever you've done to yours already looks far more realistic than the default in MSFS; it's missing so many of the iconic towers! It may not have been quite accurate but there are several taller towers with a similar shape just off the left wing just over 1 mile from the checkerboard, however these may be built since 1997. Clearly no need for concern for close-in obstacles any longer!

@@matteochewie4373 I actually encounter what you say! After I fully installed the scenery package linked by the main page, there are some high buildings just in front of the threshold of rwy13. Did you use any method to get rid of them? Looking forward to your reply!
