Most of the Insiders were right and XboxEra said that Starfield was being looked at 'after' the DLC Shattered Space dropped which hasn't even been announced yet. The podcast didn't disprove this and Phil left the door opened to a Starfield port. It was really the pie in the sky and concern trolling that was wrong.

same, i got mine in late 2022. i had this same issue with the Xbox One, I got mine in late 2015 and they stopped putting out first-party games. Then when I got my Series S in late 2021, they had their drought in 2022. Maybe i should just stick to PC and stop ruining it for y’all 😂

A few people I think said all will be announced which I thought was dumb. I posted on Twitter days before that MS would be vague and only announce 2 games tops, and leave it there. But more games will be ported over time. It would take a while to port all games especially since all the studios haven’t made PS5 or Switch games before.

@@vaguedreams I doubt it. Their original studios like Rare, Coalition, 343, Playground, Turn 10, etc have pretty been churning out Xbox and PC games. A couple of their acquired studios from last gen made games on PS4 but shifted to Xbox/PC development when acquired. I think only Bethesda and ABK studios have PS5 experience. Maybe doublefine if they made a PS5 update to Psychonauts 2…and not sure if Ninja Theory has made anything outside of Bleeding Edge and Hellblade 2 since they got acquired, etc.

Full third party would be completely ending all consoles but Xbox said they're planning the biggest technological leap in any hardware generation which makes me think it'll be upgradeable and/or a hybrid. We'll see this holiday season on what they're planning. Xbox seems to be making a modified Windows gaming OS for mobile PC handhelds like Rog Ally, Legion Go, and possibly their own.

Only console fanboys stuck in the early 2000s care about which box you play games on. Clearly Sony's strategy of selling you a box isn't doing anything with their declining profits despite selling a shit ton of boxes. They're all going multi-platform, because the platform is not the box, the platform is the experience you get from the Playstation Ecosystem vs the Xbox Ecosystem.

Why would they? What actual rumors/articles were disproven? The first rumor was the Hifi Rush was coming which it looks like it it…then there were a bunch of rumors of games “being considered” which have not been disproven either since Phil said himself that he is just starting with the 4 games…

@@ScrapKing73 The rumors didn’t didn’t say they were confirmed both articles either said the games were being considered or planned. Other people on Twitter ran with it after that. That and Phil only said the Indiana Jones and Starfield were not part of these 4 that he has confirmed. And in a separate interview where he was asked if they will never come to PS5, he said he can’t say. Phil pulled the exact same thing word games when talking about porting games to PC.

It makes sense that games like Grounded and SoT would go on PlayStation when they’re both multiplayer. As for Hi-Fi rush (especially) and Pentiment going over as well, those are just 2 that everyone should experience. It would have been nice to see some PlayStation exclusives come Xbox’s way as part of the announcement, but maybe that’ll happen further down the road 🤞🏼

Xbox is where you can play everything new that releases on Game Pass. But on PS5 you'll have to buy each Xbox game separately months later at full price. Do you see how that works? Sony only gets 30% cut that's it. While Microsoft gets the remaining 70%, more interest in Xbox as a brand including their favourite thing Game Pass subscription growth.

A child born in 85, raised in the 90s. I ate Sega cereal for breakfast (Usually with Captain Crunch). Had Nintendo sandwiches for lunch (peanut butter and jelly). For dinner it was EAs NHL 96, Doom, Diablo and the Duke on my Pentium 75. (Dinner was lots of potatoes and beef. Pasta or my favorite breakfast for dinner. Bacon and eggs.) I left the console space after PS2/Xbox 360 era. I am very happy in the PC space. Xbox and PlayStation games all come to PC. I am waiting Nintendo. Nintendo? I know you hear me. Watching those grown men makes me laugh, cry, and ponder what happened to their heads? The 80s and 90s were wild.

I love how they think Xbox channels are all going to die off, as if they wouldn't continue making content about the franchises they enjoyed on Xbox going forward assuming they ever were to go full 3rd party without an Xbox console. It's very unlikely they would just stop making content altogether. They would still cover Halo, Gears, Forza, Bethesda, etc. just as Sega channels cover Sonic or Total War, or Square Enix channels cover Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. It's no different.

As an Xbox owner I would think a genuine playstation fan would be happy they are getting those games, especially sea of thieves. The whole fanboy mindset is is completely bizarre thought me, I really don't care who plays these games, just as long as I can. I genuinely don't care about playstation exclusives. The whole games industry is going to hell, the console wars are contributing to it. And as a gamer since the zx spectrum I have sent it all go down hill. All consoles and the pc have good and bad, just enjoy the good.

With there emphasis on Game Pass. It can not hurt to take a game that they know can pay for it’s self if it is released on another console, like if they make a Banjo Kazooie game, release that on Nintendo as well and they have a free game on Game Pass. That is something that all the video streaming services wish they can do.
