Very cool thanks for sharing. I bought the Klein Tools TI290. It’s pretty awesome. It’s for looking for hotspots on solar installations and electrical work/connections. Good too for seeing heat signatures in the forest when the poop hits the fan!

what is a real difference between these and the now $140 thermal phone cameras? im looking into mounting one on my rifle and mounting the phone to my helmet. im having a hard time finding the pros and cons in the 150-400 range. ideally i want higher refresh rate, 200m range is acceptable.

I have the Caterpillar S62pro mobile phone which already has flir built in to it. They also do one that has a laser measure as well. I use it regularly when experimenting with baluns and other circuits.

Where have you seen that temperature range? On the manufacturers page I only see 0°C - 100°C.

I thought about that but it can't see through glass, so it would have to be in front.. They do make thermal scopes of course, but the prices are still high..
