IIRC they had to swap the eyepatch to his right eye in the live-action film (as he's usually depicted with his left eye patched) because for the actor who portrayed him, his right eye didn't work as good as his left so it would've been a problem if they kept the eye-patch how it was in the games. Also, the film's usage of Majima predates Kiwami and its Majima Everywhere system by like a decade.

so fun fact about majima's first appearance. as you may or may not know, Mark Hamill voiced him in the english dub. however, when asked about it, mark hamill has absolutely no recollection about it. and for some reason i feel like that's just a very majima thing

He did hundreds of roles, there's no way he would remember every role, specially a very niche game like that where they probably didn't even saw how the character looks like (at that time, it was common the voice actors for a video game dub only having access to the sound files). + the post where someone asked if he voiced Majima, used a Kiwami screenshot, which didn't even had English dub.

honestly, I feel like Majima would actually peek down that hallway at Kiryu with his missing eye. -only complaint is that his eyepatch is over his right eye in the movie instead of his left like in the game-

There's actually a reason why they did that. The actor who played Majima in the movie is actually almost completely blind in his right eye, so they had him wear the eyepatch over his right eye.

Majima was actually based (off joker but just based works too) And they managed to get Mark to voice the guy Whole point is chaos and proving a point, just to prove you can prove a point Literally dances at people to kill them Uses eenie meenie miny moe to diffuse a bomb Holds a woman hostage and "asks" her out, and when told no he was just like "fair, have a good day" And that was 5 minutes after crashing a supply truck into a soapland

As much as I vastly preffer the storytelling and cinematography of the Kiryu saga over Like a Dragon. I must admit that Ichiban biting into the loaf of bread is one of the most incredible and expressive pieces of animation i have ever seen, holy shit so many emotions expressed without a single word said.

I honestly prefer Ichiban as a protagonist over Kiryu. I love Kiryu don't get me wrong but Ichiban seems like more of a relatable character to me.

I know I'm 5 months late, but the Baby Man is a guy whose fetish was to be treated like a baby, and pretty much kidnapped people in order to try and make them like it as much as he did. In the end Kiryu beats his ass and tells him that he can't force people to be into the same fetishes he has, if I remember correctly
