Thank you for solving this wheel pose mystery for me. I’ve been struggling in this pose for awhile. I always feel a lot easier to come up to my toes to have more room to push the chest up. I was told not to do so in Ashtanga class so I always ended up like a reverse table top 😅. At least now I know it is not a mistake and it’s safe to practice that way.

thank you, the poses variations/ options really do make the difference. The good of knowing them is about knowing when they work well or if they could give that discomforting sensation, sometimes those sharp little pains on tendons or muscles, & that is the pain we want to avoid. thank you, #NAMASTE.

The last in person workshop I took with Jason was 2019 summer. Watching the demo on these options, I really think you are taking yoga to a very different level, and make it more accessible to all body types. It’s much appreciated.

I was talking to a fellow teacher yesterday about some of her cues and she said "it's just how I was taught". I think it's so important to question why poses are done in certain ways and to explore how poses can feel better in your body. I look forward to trying these variations with my students. Thankyou

Agreed--"it's just how I was taught" is not a great answer. But, it's often a phase in teacher development. I'm glad you're digging into this material!

Hello TEACHER... I'm gonna write as I am watching the video...so... I usually practice my BRIDGE pose with feet parallel & shoulders/hands wider. but squeezing the glutes muscles I've noticed the difference in one of your explanations how better it will work as a pose & muscles, joints results as well.

Thank you Jason! question: should one already be in bridge pose prior to walking or turning feet out or should one walk or turn out feet in preparation for this form of bridge? also should these sequential or can they be stand alone?
@JasonCrandellYoga
@JasonCrandellYoga 2 жыл бұрын
You can position the feet at any phase of the pose. Each of these suggestions can stand alone.
