Fantastic video. Yes please! Would absolutely love to see this vs the Viltrox 85mm 1.8, which (depending on sales) is sometimes only £50-60 more expensive than the Yongnuo.

Interesting, I didn't expect it to have good af, especially in video. I had the old YN 50 1.8 back in the day I used Canon. It was good too, but not always. Thanks for the review, Tom.

For the price, if the AF being a little inaccurate is the only thing to moan about, then in my books it's a pretty decent budget lens!

Great review mate. I think this lens serves well for people on a more restricted budget.. something magical would have to happen to rip my Sigma 85mm 1.4 DG DN from my bag. 👌😉

Thanks dude! Yeah, I totally agree! For pros, not so great. But for hobbyists, it's a brilliant budget option if you can put up with the questionable AF accuracy.

Thank you for the review. I have one question. Why don't you know it is better or not than 85mm f1.8 sony? Because i remembered you have the sony lens before

I have tested the Sony 85mm f/1.8 before, you're right. But not directly against this lens, so it would be unfair for me to say conclusively at this point which is best. I hope that makes sense? Thanks for your comment!

Lol, there’s a FH button & AF / MF switch on the lens, that’s insane! Tamron lenses even opt out on those lots of their lenses.

I know right!? I was pleasantly surprised. If Yongnuo can add things like this for cheap lenses, then why can't the bigger manufacturers do it too?

Hey! Nope, it's designed for full frame mirrorless cameras, but will of course work with APS-C bodies too.
