Here is a short prayer from the 1938 Frank Capra movie, "You Can't Take It with You," starring Lionel Barrymore, James Stewart, Jean Arthur and others. It's a delightful and zany classic. I really appreciated the short, honest, to-the-point prayers by the family patriarch, "Martin Vanderhof," played by Lionel Barrymore. In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches his disciples to avoid long, showy public prayers, and he demonstrates the same with what we now call "The Lord's Prayer."
