Rufus is right up there with Sly and the Family Stone and The Isley Brothers, in my opinion. I bought this album, Rags to Rufus, when I was a young dude. Smokin' Room and Tell Me Something Good are also great songs from the album.

She is the ONLY female vocalist Aretha Franklin has EVER said was excellent. Remember, Aretha NEVER gave a female vocalist much credit EVER. Chaka is my all time FAVORITE FEMALE vocalist. Her VOICE and her catalog is my total favorite of all time. I loved Aretha but I didn't think she was consistent after the early 70's and Jennifer Holliday was EXCELLENT also but fell off early in her career but CHAKA, kept it going all around for me.

@@curtisphilumalee1447 I remember guys wearing them all of the time in the late 70’s. I wore my “Hang Ten” brand too, with a tube top or sleeveless shirt on underneath. Loved them, my daughter & granddaughter have worn them, too. Fashions come and go out of style. Wish I’d kept all my clothes from back then (I had way too many), they go for a lot of money online nowadays.
