It was then that I decided bass guitar was Waaaaay cooler than the trombone I was playing in band. I was a citrus-fed white boy in the Florida deep south......but I had a Cuban aunt with that album......it was like I had discovered Music for the first time. Why arent you and Karen Carpenter in the RHOF???? I love you, Chaka. I was a staff bassist in a large church for over 10 years, and my dream is to play bass for you on 'Stay' On my headstone will be written ' The good Lord will stand behind, but understand we are blind......to fate. That's life.' I hope to live long enough to see you inducted. You are special in my heart, and I wish you much happiness.
