Keeping the body strong helps keep the mind strong and intact. The human body can be pushed only as far as you allow it to be. Thank you for continuously inspiring me to get out and create 💪🏼
@jas_bataille
@jas_bataille 5 жыл бұрын
I disagree on the pushing. It can be pushed as hard as you allow it to be however, it can 100% be pushed too far. I live with chronic pain and I pushed my body way too far in many instances. If you develop a crazy mental strength but you don't have the fitness level to go with it, you can definitely over-push way too far. I once stepped out of the gym with arms locked at 90 degrees. Another time had to go to the doctor after a run because my feet soles felt like they were burning. And there are stories of top athletes getting heart attacks...
@JZETH_
@JZETH_ 5 жыл бұрын
@@jas_bataille Oh I 100% agree with you. I apologize if it sounds like I'm saying to push to the point of breaking down, that wasn't the intent. I'm more so saying that it's okay to push yourself past your normal comfort level. For example if you are used to doing 10 reps of bench press with a certain weight, it may be beneficial to go outside of your comfort zone over time and try 11 reps...only push as you get stronger. Hope that makes a little more sense

Thank you for this great reminder. I live with chronic pain and it's really hard for me to get the motivation to work out, because on one hand I am very physical person (been playing drums for over 10 years) but on the other I'm afraid of pushing myself too much and end up regretting it. I worked on my mental strength a lot however because of my inconsistency in fitness training due to my ego getting frustrated from my limitations, I would do something crazy, tough it and injure myself. Today after a long time I went to the swimming pool and I did some stretches and stuff, alongside kids. I didn't got to the adult schedule with the corridors cause it makes my ego crazy and I start pushing myself too much to do lengths and I can't tough. It's hard because I'm 6'2" and thin but well built and people just don't get it. I get a lot of weird looks because I struggle. But now I'm proud and I know that if I commit everyday I will improve and free my body from chronic pain. Thank you for the inspirational message.

You know the best part I love about your video is that it is simple and most attractive in its own way I love the simplicity and your ascent or I could say the tone of your voice which makes me feel I can do why not you give me the confidence. You are going a great job sharing so much positively and making us believe its okay to try new things is life and we just get to live once. Thanks for doing this incredible job .😊

i love how i watched this and when i heard you talk about overthinking and just be consistent, it immediately made me get up and shoot a video for my business! It's so true. Sometimes we always look for some new tip or trick but i'm reality we just gotta do what we know we need to be doing.

As a fitness instructor people push themselves too much too early. To go from zero to 5 times a week is not realistic. My advice is go to the gym initially once a week for one month then in month two go twice a week....... It will become much naturally small steps and all that.

This is why I keep quitting. I start out being so motivated and work out every single day, and then I just fall off the bandwagon because it’s not realistic to keep up long term. And then I stop completely until I get that huge motivation boost again, which happens maybe twice a year. And that cycle repeats. I should really take baby steps.

If you can get up and go live your life every day of the week then you can go to the gym 5 days a week. It's like saying a person can't go get groceries 5 times a week, they need to build up to carrying the bags back to their car. BS. You just lower the load. Going 5 days a week is about building a habit. When I've been away from the gym for a while I just go there and pick stuff up and move it around, refamiliarize myself with the machines, run/walk on treadmills. I don't set a time of day at the start, when I'm free, then I go. Eventually I re-develop a routine and schedule. Entirely possible for everyone to go to the gym for 30 minutes a day right away if the load on their body mimics the load they normally put on their body. Those first few weeks build habit, routine, ritual and also reward the individual with the feeling of taking control of one area of their life.

My advice is similar but get OUTDOORS! Why are we so okay with not feeling alive? Get outdoors no matter what the weather and exercise in what way suits you best and I swear you'll feel better than any gym could make ya feel. As much as I appreciate the odd indoor workout... Nothing compares to stretching out in the fresh air.

3:18 No wiser words have been said. That's why I've made my challenge/habit for this month to do 100 pushups, 100 situps and 50 triceps dips everyday. It's a time where I can pick it up again (I've skipped every now and again but missed almost two weeks towards the end of March) because I don't have any assignments and next week is the Easter break so I won't have many distractions then. It's a workout that I can do and commit to and get done with my schedule.

Hey Matt, I dont know if you'll ever see this but if you do, I wanted to let you know that I watch all your videos and I have my notifications turned on to see when you post. I'm a really big fan of the content, structure and execution of the stuff you produce and post on KZfaq. They never fail to give me a laugh, put me in a good mood and leave me feeling inspired to get off my ass and attempt doing something that I've always put off by some lame excuse. You're such an amazing and funny person who I look up to and I really hope that you never stop posting videos and that you just never stop being you man. Thank you, bless!🙏🏾love from Trinidad and Tobago🇹🇹
