My guess is that CGB is smart enough to know that XLVIII is not a correct roman numeral. Correct roman 48 would be VLIII. Just as 1999 = MIM and not MCMLXXXXVIIII.

I used to also have Gameplay Warnings off, but I kept clicking on myself to see my cards in hand while choosing the target for an Ugin +2 (I'm on mobile) and accidentally bolting myself, so eventually I turned the warnings back on.

I've been running a bant soldiers deck, with the valiant veteran and a lot of enter the battlefield effects. Lagrella, the Magpie can bounce my own creatures and bring them back with +1/+1 counters, Elspeth puts down my creatures with ETB effects, and then I have Angelic Quartermaster as a flying soldier to finish. Torens and Queen Allenal (I think is her name) give a crap ton of tokens when you cast Resolute Reinforcements or Argivian Cavelier (also creates 1/1 soldier token). Extraction Specialist to bring back my Resolute Reinforcements or Valiant Veterans from the graveyard. I feel unique with my soldier theme :)

I learned that lesson many times when playing Minsc and Boo, one of the options is 'sacrifice a creature' to deal damage to something, and once you click it, it is done. It is even more painful because the game forces you to dwell in your failure by making you select a creature to sacrifice, and you just sit there wanting to go back while the rope comes out hahhaa

That attack all after blundering the Darien is probably a worse mistake than saccing the Darien. Also taking a treasure token instead of putting a +1 counter on the second Gala Greeters. You basically had to just wait until you drew into another anthem and the game was yours, with the near infinite lifegain from 2 Gala greeters and an Adeline.

i'm really, really excited for izzet tempo. "fable is good so what if i just put it in mono-blue tempo" seems like it's an idea that might translate to bo1, even though the exact breakdown of red removal vs blue counters/bounce probably needs adjustment.

The big problem with a 4 color token deck is that the mana base is terrible even with the triomes- plus the only card it really would want out of Red is Fable, which is strong with all the ETC effects and it would enable Leyline Binding, which is pretty dope. Make Disappear fixes so many problems for the deck that it's probably worth splashing blue for only that card. Brokers Ascendancy seems like the weakest card in the list given how long it takes to be super relevant and that enchantment removal is so common. Jetmir is kinda crap right now- not sure why you'd bother with it when you could just run Sanctuary Warden or Ao.

This is almost 100% my deck - I have 2 less Wandering Emperors and instead I use Tamiyos. It got me to Mythic Standard Bo1 very fast but I couldn't break into top 100 and last month circulated between 200-1800 with ~200 games in Mythic.
