The judge in the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial was hearing motions during the lunch break when she poked a little fun at Depp's attorney. An attorney representing TMZ was attempting to keep a former employee from testifying about a leak that Heard would be filing a restraining order against Depp. During arguments Depp's attorney made a comment about TMZ's reputation, which the TMZ attorney referred to as snarky. Later Depp's attorney apologized for the comment and the judge waved it off, saying "you're just a snarky guy," which lead the court to erupt in laughter.

yeah she is in a pickle with this one, she cant open proceedings against TMZ for her being implied as the source or it will all come out in writing that she was the source and lied in court, this limits the damages that TMZ can claim against former employee who most likely broke some sort of contract divulging this stuff. implicates Amber and offers some protection to the witness.

Yes, this is why he is allowed to testify, however, TMZ also has the right to object on the basis he is revealing company information and practice. @@superpantman That’s a TMZ problem, they barked @ the wrong tree. If they didn’t want their former employee to testify about info he acquired while working for them, they should have leaned on him by enforcing the NDA he likely had to sign as a requirement for employment with TMZ. This guy knows he’s going to face some legal repercussions on that end. No doubt this witness thought of doing the right thing, and TMZ’s attorney did his job best he could for his client tho it was the wrong legal venue.

TMZ is not fighting for it's right to publish at all. Basically they don't want it to be revealed that Amber was the source... because that's the absolute SLEAZIEST sort of source they could have (the activating party) for their release of this kind of information (seeking an RTO).

Nothing special. The judge took note and explained in which grounds she would allow the witness to testify. You think all these lawyers are smartasses but they are not. This TMZ lawer asked if he could object and judge said because he doesn't represent any of the parties he could not object during the testimony but tmz can follow up in another case (like suing the employee). Today Camille asked several times if the jury could access the footage that has been streaming online. We have to remember...the her lawyerd migjt know the truth, but they are being paid to prove them innocent, even when they KNOW they are guilty. A lawyer is supposed to defend you, whether guilty or innocent. So, if they are nervous, they probanly know She is the only abuser. I know that kind because I am a well behaved woman, yet my ex triggered me and there was a point in my life where I woke up away from being a victim and I started abusing him, and I was worse because I did know what to say to hurt him because By fighting less, I observed more and I had more advantage of abusing him, but then I realized that and took that behavior back because WE MUST NOT BECOME LIKE OUR ABUSERS.
