Loved the "slowed down" video. Love the informative take. I only fly fish but I have found I can better tie flies and fish them from watching the spin/bait caters when they explain what they are doing and why. I reside in SC and get down to FL about 3 times a year to salt water fish so this video really helps. Lawson, thanks! Keep doing what ya doing. BTW, do more collaborations with other KZfaqrs. Love it when my favs get together. Yo, belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Always my go to bait is a plastic shrimp and a jig head, I think that it is the best way because I can fish it in a million different ways. I can fin it extremely slow, just like you, I can use it in a medium speed, ad also I can use it very quick at the top. When I know that there are fish when I’m fishing, and they are fired up, working that lure fats is very effective, it is cool to see and very explosive bite when you work it quickly, it is awesome to use that

I know I'm 4 years late to the party but I 100% agree. One of my personal favorite ways to fish DOA and other artificial shrimp is to cast the across the up current side of some sort of structure, like an oyster bar, and just let the current sweep it across. If I reel at all, it's only to keep slack out of the line so I can feel a bite. Great video and yours is one of the channels that makes me super exited to move back to Florida after being in craphole Louisiana for the last 11 years

Lawson, I love your videos!! Could you do a deep sea party boat video for all of us that don’t have a nice boat or money for a private charter. Maybe use the boat tackle for a while and then switch to whatever you think will work. It would be cool to see how many you catch compared to the rest of the boat. You could explain the techniques so all of us can catch more fish the next time we go out!

Last trip this past Tuesday was 37 trout and three reds. Bite wasn't till the outgoing till two-three in the afternoon. Btw, fort Pierce south bridge, if you want to catch big 5lb. Lady fish at night. All you want bro. Try it they do grow big.

I liked that video so much, I subscribed. That was the first video that actually showed me something. My son and I are from Miami and the Keys and we have no idea how to fish the Banana River or Mosquito Lagoon or whatever. We live here now and sold our blue water boat and bought a Pathfinder. We've fish it three times in the river over the past couple of weeks and except for maybe a dozen juvinal trout, goose eggs. I can not find any other videos (apart this one) that have been of any use. Keep doing that stuff. You'd be the only one. And yes, I've been working the shrimp too quickly.

Lawson, have you ever heard of "bottom bouncing while nearly dead sticking"? If not, it's bottom bouncing soft plastics, jigs, and bucktails while hardly reeling and giving the lure 1 or 2 bounces before counting to 3 and bouncing it again. When fish are sluggish due to colder water temperatures, they rather have the easiest opportunity to grab small prey without having to chase it as the predator slowly swims, which is when that very slow bottom bouncing comes into play. Also, 2 thing to look into while wade fishing in the salt are a boga grip and a tacklebag. Can't wait to see topwater videos from those flats! Whopper Ploppers, Spooks, 4" floating poppers, and weightless soft plastics!
