FOMO was crippling in my early 20's. I wasted hours and hours of my life pondering whether or not I should go out to bars with friends. When I did, 90% of the time I didn't miss anything. When I didn't, 100% of the time I woke up feeling better. Do what you want to do because you want to do it, not because others expect it of you. Don't waste your precious life

*Missing out is an ILLUSION* All that is precious is with you. You live, you breathe, you have food on the table. *Cherish the moment and make best out of your current situation, through joy and love.* Follow your passion and everything else will fall into places.

This is so on point, currently fit to my situation. Part of adulting, your interest in social media lessen.. You focus more on your goals, plans and family. The joy of missing out. Hanging out with your so called friends doesn't pricked your interest anymore.

That was some amazing poetry! My experience with FOMO has had really weird effects. One day, I would be obsessing over something I wish I did in the past, followed by the next day where I would hardly care at all. With this in mind, I have been able to focus on the things that truly matter and yield the fruits to go a long way.

So LOVE this. You're 100% right and that is why I basically never go out. I do not drink, never have, don't care. Creativity / music / art / making things. That's all I do. And I'm happy, nearly all of the time. Sure, have anxiety and bad days. But... in general... I'd rather be working on things... like, 99.99999% of the time.

Loved it jay Shetty thank you for sharing, it's just because of the feeling of fear may be we might missing out a message from the people, we care or a feeling that we might miss out what are actions of people around us based on our past experiences, we are losing most of our valuable our time, by keep on checking others actions , movements , their likes, dislikes everything, thanks for the message at this peak stage of social media's reign which is very much required by all of us to face that for us to be with ourselves,,,, always a Great personality Jay you are and thank you very much for this 🙏🙏🙏

Wow couldnt relate to this more then now. Im living so far away from my friends and family to study medicine and seeing everyone together, going out, and having so much fun, while I'm inside my own house, alone and studying so far away from them makes me have so much fomo lol. It always makes me second guess if I made the right decision and if I would be forgotten. But I know we all have different priorities in life right now and I dont want to second guess where I am and how much joy this profession will give me at the end of this journey.
