Unironically, one of the best videos I've ever seen on this topic: It's catchy, it's very informative about what to look for, gives legitimate actionable advice with a workable base strategy. Not even a single gender essentialism in sight. 10/10 absolutely no notes. I want literally all information to be presented this way

This needs to be everywhere. Yes, when we don't hold other men accountable, our hands won't be clean when they inevitably fail as a human being. We might not hold the responsibility of changing them, but we damned right have the responsibility to educate them and tell them if they don't change, we want nothing to do with them.

@@windlybandibunbrother4670 sorry I didn't specify, I don't have notifications for YT. Assigned female at birth. I grew up a little girl and I'm biologically female, but I personally don't play the gender identity games that conservatives want me to play. I just have had disturbing experiences from horrible and disgusting cisgender guys because they think they can say or do whatever they want to me simply because I was born a girl.

A while back a college I live near, made a "pact " against sexual assault. Like that was suppose to stop people from causing sexual harassment. So is the answer here similar ? as we are supposed to talk about to make it go away instead of, supplying valuable information to help prevent , become aware of signs , and stop , sexual assault . especially since sexual assault causes and is a sign of mental illness ? And might need more than a stern conversation about it.
@EmersonBrophy2 ай бұрын
I think I understand what you’re saying here. I don’t expect it to just be just one stern conversation to end all problematic attitudes, but if problematic attitudes are a manifestation of a man’s other mental health issues, it’s never a bad thing for him to be made aware of those. Especially by someone that he trusts, like a friend. He needs to be aware of how his behaviour is affecting people, and to take steps towards getting help.
@geekmyths2 ай бұрын
of course there’s more to be done than just a conversation, but a conversation can be a start, especially when it comes to friends. with the internet, it’s easier than ever for men especially to fall down pipelines of misogyny and hatred. as a friend, you have the ability to step in and stop that before it’s too late, even if it just means convincing your bro to get more qualified help.
@bichitenshi66962 ай бұрын
Men listen to other men more than they do women. Peer pressure is a strong influence, both good and bad, and men have the power to hold their friends accountable. Unfortunately, a lot of the time you don’t see that happening. Either way, it can mean the world to a woman to just have a man stand up for them for once. You know, actually feel like they can trust a man to take their feelings and experiences seriously.

This video is just pandering to Instagram/Tik-Tok teens... If he actually cared about helping women, he would've given some actual red flags. A "dodgey joke", isn't an actual red flag.

@bichitenshi66962 ай бұрын
…The police officer who claimed shots were fired and responded first was Jesse Hernandez. He’s a male police officer. The female officer in the bodycam was responding to her partner’s report of a gun being involved. She wasn’t the one who mistook an acorn for a gunshot, she just trusted her fellow officer to not freak out at the slightest bit of nature. Also, that’s a good distraction technique. Fact of the matter is that I’m more likely to be harmed by a run of the mill guy than I am a female officer + a bear. I’d take my chances with both of them instead of a guy.
