ECACTLY … and I’ve got people complaining about the $50 or $70 price, in the comments… same people complaining next year about everything being made in China… what the fuck, people. This company is basically two guys in their garage, and this is why I asked to review their product… I’m 100% behind this. PS... I wrote this comment while standing in line at the DMV, haha... so I may have been riled up a little. However... turns out it went quickly and my truck is registered until 2025 ... Oops I did have to renew my license tho.

@@AtimatikArmy I'm guessing the components aren't all made in the USA.. Likely from all over the world, but it's not just an off the shelf Chinese product being mass produced and sold by a corporation in North America ... so that's good.

@@loweredexpectations4927 Hey therethe 8kw unit I'm installing has cheezy on/off button and was a cerimoney trying to link remote that ONLY ajusts temp up/down, and powering on is problematic when temp set too low as temp won't ajust UNTILL powered up..... I can work around these issues BUT with the temp is set lower then ambient, the fan speed/heating lowers way down as it should works great however it stays running on low regardless of where the temp is set, and eventually get's TOO HOT!!! Will these controllers cycle the burner off when it gets too hot???,and back on???thanks

You can now get some heaters that have this feature, but not many. The vevor Bluetooth heater does have this ability, but it is not as tunable.

I just found out about this today, when I was checking out the Afterburner, and found my ecu is not compatible. This device is so freaking awesome! I will definitely be grabbing one of these 🙂 I was actually looking into WIFI RF transmitters that could copy the signal, and then boom, I found this thing. I am really hoping they add functionality for multi day scheduling. If I could keep it above freezing, and then comfortable 2 days a week, this would be even better! Thanks for the run down of this device 🙂

It does exactly what it was intended to do. I'm an idiot when it comes to electronic devices, and I find it really easy to use and set up. Honestly, I don't have a lot of use for it, because most of my heater use is for testing purposes, but I know that this is the perfect product for many people. I actually told Bureck, when I first contacted them that I had no use for it and my interest was purely to test it... They were really cool about it and sent them out anyway.

For all who think it's expensive. You could make one for about £25 in parts, so crack on. I know because I made something similar. It only takes a few components, but you will have to spend hours developing the code. You have to remember to make something cheap and bring it to market, you have to mass produce it, and get it made in china. There is limited demand for it and also these features are already finding there way in to some heaters. I say well done for bringing it to market.

Exactly ... Read a book, watch a video and make one yourself... if it's not worth the money it must be pretty easy. The cost is for convenience. I'm sure I could make a really crappy version of this.... without a schedule, haha...but I'm not going to, and neither are those who are complaining.

Thanks for the review. For the last three years, I have been using the Afterburner control. It is the thing that has made my heater a reasonable main heat source for my 35' 5th wheel in Canadian winters. The Bureck is physically similar. The wonderful thing is "Linear Hertz" mode where fuel supply and fan speed are modulated to maintain set point. Also are tuning capabilities wherein you can govern min and max fuel delivery and fan speed rates. This enables long term use without fear of carbon buildup. I highly recommend checking out Mr Jones Afterburner Diesel Heater Control.

I have seen the afterburner on David McLuckie channel.... It is a next level control system for sure... much better for those who like to tinker and also want to keep a closer eye on things. I might reach out the Mr Jones and see if he wants to send me one for testing /review. I'm not sure I can justify the cost as I would only be using it for testing and review... I don't' have a specific need for such a fancy control system. The Bureck is less intimidating and a little more cost effective, but the two products are not really in the same ballpark when it comes to features.

My Hcalory bluetooth unit does this already. The heater cycles on and off, complete shutdown, then restarts with temperature fluctuations. Climate control in the shed. :)

Yes, the Vevor Bluetooth controller does this as well. It is not as accurate and a little awkward to access the menu... but it does have this function. The schedule is nice to have on the Bureck... I think the Vevor may have two set times as well... but again, awkward to use. This is aimed at all those people who have basic heaters with basic controllers ...

And it won’t even go over about 1/3 power in an attempt to get to your desired temperature totally negating the auto full shut down feature. This is my very recent experience with them, absolute rubbish in my opinion.

@@TheMajictech I did a video on this, but I forget already. You can't set it on level to and use the auto off function ? I only used it once for the video demonstration. I have found some of my controller issues are due to the air flow in my truck and where I have my controller mounted... The one in my buddies 4Runner works much better as it is in the armrest area and reads more accurately.

Yes, most of them are pretty far off. This has to do with air circulation, where and what you have the controller mounted to. This unit makes it much easier and much more accurate.

Another great video, thank you! These heaters can also be controlled by the BroadLink rm4 pro which can come with a thermostat and humidistat. Mine only turned up today but it looks like you can not only turn it on/off but up/down based on either temperature, humidity or time.

Very interesting. I assume that the temp, humidity info is collected at the BroadLink unit and not transferred from the ECU.... so the BroadLink device would need to stay in the area with our heater. So many products on the market, so little time. haha.

I used to work in a factory in The Netherlands. We are allowed to put "Made in USA" stickers on the finished product because the head quarters were in the USA. Besides all that. Chargers came from Taiwan, electronics from China, switches from Mexico, steel parts from China other steel parts made in house in NL. Nothing is made in USA. Apparently not even assembled when HQ is in the USA. Parts are often from all over the world!

I am guessing that many of the parts are from all over the world. Days after making that title, I realized that they don't claim to be made in the USA and I made that assumption based on their videos... they appear to be two guys in their garage. I have considered changing the title, but then would certainly get accused of hiding something, and or people would assume that they weren't made in the US... That being said, it is a US company made of two guys in a home shop that designed both the product and software. If the end product ships directly from China, it was still made in the US on some level ? The physical item itself is only a small part of the actual user product. They are available to talk to, constantly working to improve the product and are able to deal with people on a 1 on 1 basis to make this product actually work with the multitude of different heaters out there. I fully support this type of business / project. Despite where they may happen to source their physical parts, to me, this is still an American product. Sorry about the rant... I sometimes have a hard time explaining myself.

👍 Not sure if you saw in my video, but this did have some issues with switching modes on the Bluetooth controller. That being said, Bureck was able to send me Updated firmware that seems to have taken care of this issue. For now, they are dealing with this on a case by case basis, as most heaters work better with the original firmware. I should have a video out on this update soon.

The blue controller has a function where it can be set to turn on at a set temperature on high mode but I prefer to manually adjust the temperature. The controller is easy to reach by couch. Once the desired temperature is reached I turn the controller to the lowest setting.

Yes.... there are a lot of controllers with similar or some of the functionality of this ... the Bluetooth controller that I have can be set to turn on and off based on temperature, as well, but it is not nearly as accurate and accessing the menu is clumsy and the heater must be powered on... sort of silly.

@@loweredexpectations4927 I do have a Vevor 8kw.....have only had it fired up for testing, will go to a remote cabin I'm building. as a 3rd means of heat. Lucky me, the controller that came with the heater uses an incompatible remote.....I found a replacement on amazon with a compatible remote.

IIRC the major advantage to the "Afterburner" controller is it can vary the heat output (fuel/air combos) between low and high parameters before it totally shuts off if a temp target is reached. I think the Bureck just shut of off or on to whatever static heat output level you have it set at....Start up cycles are harder on things...glow plug...batteries (if running off a battery) . I'm not sure if the afterbunred can do the following: vary heat output for fine control , but once in a while go to max for soot burn off.

The afterburner is a much more sophisticated beast... It is aimed at heater enthusiasts, tinkers, or those who feel the need to see all of the data. It offers you much more control and shows you a lot more. It also uses wifi. This is a bit much for most people, and the cost is over twice as much. The Bureck just sends on and off signals based on temperature and time, if you use the schedule. A lot of people say that start up cycles are harder, but I have not seen any evidence of this. If a person is having glow plug issues, I suspect there is an underlying problem. Too much or not enough voltage, the plug staying on too long etc. If you are going to be turning your heater on and off to control temperature, this will be a lot harder on your battery, that is for sure. Most people who use these heaters, use a power supply to a power supply with battery back up, so this wouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, the reason for the 24h clock is so that the schedule isn't accidentally set for the wrong time and you have your heater turning on at night, haha. It comes from Bureck, in Idaho, set to F and is easily changed to C or F in the settings menu. They may be able to change to a 12h clock at some point, by updating the firmware, but this would mean adding a AM / PM selection to both the clock and all of the schedules... Not impossible, but tricky to fit in a small screen and make sure that it is obvious... again, so that the heater actually turns on when you want it to.

Love Your Testing Vids ! If you needed to Heat a Large Area.. ie: Shop, Greenhouse.. have you ever tried exhausting into say a 45 Gallon drum First.. then to the outdoors ? Would it Heat Up and Radiate somewhat.. or Dangerous with 45 Gal. of Exhaust Gas waiting to escape ?

I haven't tried that... I don't really have the space for a large drum. I would imagine that this would be fairly effective at capturing some heat due to the large surface are of the drum. You would want to vent in probably near the top, or 1/3 of the way down, and then vent out of the bottom. I assume that moisture would build up, so you would need to allow it to drain off somehow. If the system was sealed, it shouldn't be a problem. There is almost no pressure.

Does this regulate the HZ of the heater or just turn on and off? BTW there is another version by a different company. Think they are out of Australia if you want to research that. That one seemed a bit nicer but think it was more expensive.

This device simply turns the heater on and off. The other device you are talking about is the Afterburner. It offers a LOT more control over you heater. If you want ultimate control, then it is the way to go, for sure.... It even has wifi. This device is simple, easy to use and does exactly what it is designed to do.

This thermostat came out too late for me. 3 years ago I made a interface between a house thermostat and the remote as I needed to keep an out building at a constant temperature. The interface also has a function to not allow the heater to come on when the grid power goes down and also a function not to shutdown the heater when the battery supplying power drops below 50% charge.

I think I understand why they sent two of those thermostats. Since charging them warms them causing inaccuracy it would be a good idea to have a second one to use while the one that is charging is disabled.

Haha... 👍 Good theory, but no. They sent me two because I asked for two, but in the email communication they said they would send one... hence the confusion. The thermostat doesn't take that long to charge, and when it's done, it returns to normal operation. I think unless you have a real good reason to get the one with the battery, it makes more sense to get the plug in unit...

Hey, Tilly. I believe they say 100ft in one of their videos... tho it may be more. The reason why I didn't mention it, is because this is to be used as a thermostat. It needs to be left in the area where you heater is located (the area where you heater is heating) The device itself has the thermostat in it and needs to remain close to the heater in order to read the temperature. This isn't a device that you carry with you or keep in your house while heating your garage. I hope this clears things up.

I somehow convinced myself it used the thermometer on the controller and sent a signal to the Bureck unit... I guess the problem is, I actually didn't think about it, haha..

Would like to know if it maintains the time precisely. My current unit losses 15-20 minutes every day... I must enter every night the correct time so I can find the car warm. I cant understand what's the problem and I`m curious if with this remote would solve my problem.

I haven't had mine long enough to be able to say for sure... I keep changing the time and adjusting things for the sake of video.... but they do talk about it being able to maintain time even in low battery mode in their manual video. You could email them about this and see what they have to say.

I assume you are talking about the red remote with the LCD screen and not the Bluetooth heater. Yes, it was the original ECU and remote. Bureck has already emailed me about working on their firmware and have sent me a fix for the Bluetooth heater... I haven't tried it yet.

Yeah, they are not the best solution for every situation, that's for sure. They have their place, but electric is quick heat.

I bought that same diesel heater for 105.00 from the vevor website at least i know this thermostat you showcase will work with my heater guess it won't cause my heater has the Bluetooth controller

The Vevor Bluetooth heater has an Auto on Auto off feature, so this thermostat is not necessary. I recently released a video showing how to set this up. How much drain on/ off on a leisure battery wild camping as to just keeping it ticking over at 0.5 amp/hr .(glow plugs on ,glow plugs off 10amp min a go

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question. The heater pulls about 10 amps, (120 watts) when it is starting and the glow plug is on. After it is running, and the glow plug turns off, it pulls about 1.5 amps on the low setting (18 watts) and on the max setting about 4 amps (48 watts)

@@loweredexpectations4927 Every time it turns off and then turns back on with the thermostat wont the glow plugs come back on every time hence using more battery consumption than if just leaving the heater on all night on low and using more fuel and less ampage .

@@GG-tf3tr Yes.. this is correct. I assume this is part of the reason why they originally designed them not to turn off. If you are on limited battery capacity, then this may not be a good solution. There are a few heaters on the market that will lower the heat setting when your set temperature is reached. If you have it set to 30C, when it reaches 26 it will lower the heat setting to 3 and when it reaches 30 it it will lower to setting 1. As the temperature drops, the heat level will increase if necessary.

Excellent review! The aftermarket smart remote is a step in the right direction, it's just too bad it can't be programmed for days of the week & doesn't work properly with the OEM bluetooth heater displays. One question... can the remote's clock/timer be switched to 12hr, or is the 24hr format the only option?

Thanks ! I assume the reason it does funny things with the bluetooth controller is that it is sending signals once the heater is on, and the controller is picking them up and oddly, switching settings. I have contacted them about this and it may be something they can update in their firmware. The schedules is also something I assumed would have days of the week, but I can understand why they did it this way for now... It looks like they have already updated the firmware a few times between their instructional video and my remote, as it is a few versions later. At first I was like "UGH !! 24H time" ... and then it became obvious why. This is so it is basically impossible to set your schedule wrong... WIth 12 hr time, you could have your heater turning on 12 hours away from when you want it to, haha. They could add AM PM to it, and maybe they will, but that adds complications, one more thing to set and one more thing to include on a small LCD screen.

Often enough we tell each other, let's meet at 7 and really everybody, who isn't a musician, has to ask twice, if it isn't perfectly clear in the context. Only artists don't need to ask, because "7 Uhr vormittags" is sleeping time anyhow. Can't have that in the technical world. Won't work at all.

Is the thermostat able to function solely from USB power, with no battery installed? If so, does it still experience the same issue with inaccurate temperature readings when running on USB power?

You can purchase the $50 unit that does not have a battery or charger. You keep it connected to power using the USB and it works fine. In the controller that has a battery, there is a setting that says "use battery" or something like that... and you can turn it off. I'm not sure if this disconnects the battery when plugged into power or not. EIther way, if you use the battery unit always plugged into power, it will only make heat when it is actually topping up the battery. So, for a few minutes a day it won't turn your heater on. Once the changing is complete, and the thermostat cools, it will turn your heater on. I would like to test this and actually get numbers on it, but it is extremely hard to track the actual data.

I have purchased the Bureck thermostat and I have a Vevor diesel heater but the thermostat will not clone to my remote. I set it on to search for an on signal and I pressed the 'on' on the remote but nothing happened. no link up. what is going on? thanks BTW I have an 8kw heater with a red remote. Doesn't the bluetooth controller have a auto thermostat setting that shuts the heater down? Or is the point of this the degree level of when it starts and stops? Each time it starts and shuts down it fires the glow plug (8-10amp) on my heaters I assume they all do.

Yes, the Bluetooth controller is one of the few that will actually shut the heater off, so it is not needed on this controller... Most do not have this capability. The Vevor Bluetooth heater can also be set to turn on and off, but I believe only on once a day, and then off once. It will do this every day of the week same time of the day. This gives you a little more functionality with 4 scheduled temp changes. Yes... the glow plug turns on and off each time, so that's why the "swing" feature is important on this thermostat. It allows you to set the thermostat so the temperature can vary (as much as you want) a few degrees, so that your heater will only turn on and off once or twice an hour, instead of 10 times an hour. I don't believe the Bluetooth controller allows you to set a swing temperature.... it may. This also allows you to calibrate to the exact temperature, where the Vevor controller allows +/- 9C of adjustment. That is important to some people.

I think I understand what you are saying.... If you block the air flow the heater will very quickly overheat, shutdown and give an E-5 error code. If you restrict air flow through the heater, it will absolutely overheat, pretty quickly. If you want to do this, the best option would be to redirect the air instead of just blocking it. You can get split Y valves... Not sure about ones that are rated to take this much heat, but that may be an option.

I've noticed that during the charging of the battery the housing heats up considerably and sends an OFF signal to my heater. Even after more than an hour the housing is still a few degrees celsius above the surrounding temperature. I don't know if it's possible to keep it connected to an USB charger, since it will trickle charge the battery (and keep the housing temperature higher than the true temperature).

Yes, the heating up issue has been pointed out by myself as well as Bureck. There is a setting in the settings menu 1, the second item down that says "use battery:" I have not been able to test this, but if you set it to off, the battery charging symbol disappears ... when plugged into power it may not charge or use the battery. Give this a try. I don't know how it decides when to charge, but I don't think it trickle charges... I may be wrong but I think with lithium ion batteries they would allow it to drop some and then charge.

@@loweredexpectations4927 I tested it just now and set the battery to OFF with the USB connected but still saw the temperature rise :( It seems as if that setting only controls the display of the battery indicator since I could disconnect it and it still worked (hence was still on battery). It works on a lot of different heaters. If you have a simple remote FOB with on, off and heat up and down, it will likely work for yours. If you have a fancy remote with the LCD screen, this may not work. They are happy to answer questions if you email them.

@@rockcralwer I believe for the Afterburner to work on your heater, you would have to replace the ECU ... The bluetooth controller is fairly new, so Afterburner may not have it on their website for that reason... or it may not be compatible. You can buy a new compatible ECU for $30-40, but it all adds up when the Afterburner itself is $120 - 154, depending on options.

@@loweredexpectations4927 I recently had to purchase a compatible ECU and Controller to get the Diesel Heater I had already installed, in my G3500 Project, to be able to work with the Afterburner. Next step for me is to buy an Afterburner. FYI - my G3500 Project is a 1ton Cab and Chassis that I purchased used and install a semi sleeper box and had a custom flatbed made for it. I needed to find a way to control the heat has the sleeper box is not that big and I kept getting roasted out, even on the lowest setting, with the factory controller that came with the diesel heater. Please let us know "IF" and "WHEN" you might give away one of those Bureck CD thermostats. I for one would be very interested. It would also be nice to compare the two as I not only have the sleeper box, I have a couple RV's that I'm restoring and customizing. would be much better if it just tuned the pump speed down when it reaches temp then ramp back up at the set point. Maybe then turn off if lower limit not reached in 10 mins. Seems a bit stupid to keep turning on & off.

While this may be true in some cases, many people use these heaters to heat small spaces. Even with the heater on setting 1, it will go to 30 or 40C ... My truck has this issue if the temperature is -10C or warmer. I've had it up over 42C The Bureck thermostat has adjustable swing temperature so that you can allow the temperature to vary, and only turn on and off a few times an hour. You also have the option of setting your heater to level 3 (for example) instead of level 10, (on your controller)... That way your thermostat can request a temperature of 22 (for example) and your heater may take an hour or two to reach 22C.... This gives you a lot more options. While turning on and off isn't good for everyone, it is sort of ideal for some people, and this product is for them.

Yes, that is what the swing is for. You set a 10ºF swing, then set your thermostat to 59. The heater will turn off at 59 and turn back on when it goes down to 49. The way they actually do it you would actually set your swing to 9, and once it goes past 9 ( to 10) it will turn back on. It's just easier to explain as I did above. Hopefully this makes sense.

LOL.... Sadly, garage door opener remotes use what they call rolling codes that change every time you use it... specifically so that people can't clone it, haha... This would be fun though. I worked for Sears for several years, and did some work on garage door openers. A few times a month we would get service calls about a customers door randomly opening....Most of the time it's likely them accidentally sitting on their remote, but it does happen there there's a rogue signal that happens to do the trick. I never got to use it, but we did have a tool that would monitor signals in the area and tell you what frequencies they were at... basically trying to detect if there really was a problem signal in the area.

I assumed that the knob just sets the heater to a specific output ? Like all the way clockwise was 5kw output the low setting was .8kw or something and the middle is around 2kw... But here's the thing: F8: Bluetooth switch F9: automatic start/stop heater; (in automatic mode, when the cab temperature reaches the set temperature, it will automatically turn off after 30s delay; when the cab temperature is lower than the set temperature by 2°C, it will automatically turn on after 30s delay Press [ Knob] to modify, press [Knob] again to confirm the current data modification. Why is anyone using micro usb for charging? Usb-c should be standard as pretty much any quality device made in recent years utilize this new standard, heck even apple have swapped over reluctantly, because of eu regulations and the fact usb-c offers better performance than their lightning port. Even though we dont need the data transfer rates and other features usb-c offer, having one less cord and port reliability is more than worth it. Everyone has had a micro usb port that wouldnt even hold onto the cable and would lose connection if it was wiggled in the port ever so slightly.

I assume, as a couple of guys in their home shop, and this being their first product, it likely has something to do with cost, but I can't say for sure. I can see how the stuff you mentioned matters for a phone or storage device, but data transfer is almost non existent, and power remands on this device and pretty low. There are already heat "issues" while charging at this low rate, so more wattage wouldn't be good. This isn't a phone and most will be plugged in once and left plugged in. If you do have to charge it, it will be once a week and not once a day, so I don't expect longevity to be an issue. I have some USB C cables that loose connection if I fart... haha... it's really annoying as I use them for transferring video footage to my Mac...

@@loweredexpectations4927 cost can't be much greater for a usb-c and I'd much rather pay for the extra $1-2 bucks in additional costs just to have 1 less cable to deal with. I've never had an issue using a quality usb-c port loosing connection unless there was debris inside which was remedied by using a pic to remove the piece of sawdust or compressed air keyboard cleaner. Not hating on the product, just hoping they make a revision 2 that includes the updated port. I personally won't buy anything with micro USB and have swapped working older devices with updated ones utilizing the new charging standard, like Bluetooth accessories etc, just so I always have the correct cable on hand to charge. With not necessarily being a product that is meant to be used on the go, and will likely always stay in one place, it still would be a nice improvement. Regarding thermostat inaccuracies while charging on the battery model, does the non battery model suffer the same issue since power is running to it at all times, or not really since it doesn't have a battery inside heating up? You might have mentioned this in the video and I missed it, so forgive me if that's the case

That depends on what you are asking, but in general, no. The Vevor Bluetooth heater does have a Smart Mode, where it will lower the heat setting to low to maintain the temperature, and it also has an Auto Off function that will turn the heater on and off based on the thermometer in the controller. However, this is the only controller (the Bluetooth version) that offers this feature, other than an aftermarket unit like the Afterburner. Most diesel heaters have a level setting. You set the heater to max level and it puts out 5kw and at the mid setting, it puts out 2 kw, for example.... They don't care what the temperature is. Some newer controllers do have some sort of thermostatic control where they will lower the heat level, but will not turn the heater off.

They will raise or lower the heat setting (heat output) but the heater will not turn off. I'm not sure if your heater will turn off... I have never used one. If your heater can't keep up, if you are asking it to heat to 30C and it can only reach 18, then this doesn't matter... but if you are asking it to be 18C and is on setting 1... the temperature might go to 30 or 40C.

They are crazy as hell for the price. People who make products for these heaters need to take into consideration the actual cost of the heater. Why the hell would I pay $70 for a remote control for a $100 heater? That's just ridiculous. What the remote offers isn't justification for that price.

I personally think the price is very good, and I have no skin in the game. $50 for the plug in version (which makes more sense to me) is a bargain. I think you are looking at this in the wrong way. This has nothing to do with the cost of the heater... you are paying for the convenience of the device ... You have the heater ...and it does heater things... Some of these heaters sell for over $1000 and don't have a thermostat. The $70 or $50 is to make the heater a lot nicer to use. Comparable products, like the Afterburner sell for around $120 - 130 and are way more complicated. If you can't afford the $50 for one of these, you are in good company ... neither can I... but as poor as I am, I can see the value in this product and appreciate that a couple of dudes in Idiho basically made this in their garage.

When you think about it that way then it probably does sound pretty expensive, but if you look at it as an "Ease of use" option for a 10k budget camper conversion it's not excessively bad. I mean, these days you can pay more than this for a couple 8x4 sheets of 1/2" ply, so as part of the whole project it's probably worth it to a fair few people. Something like this is never going to be mass produced to the same levels as the heaters though, and if they're still at the level of production where they're building these controllers by hand, that's a significant amount of work time invested in each unit. If they're putting in the hours they need to get paid for it, or the business won't be solvent for long.

@@Reman1975 I totally get it... I personally can't afford the $50 to buy one right now. Lots of people who buy these heaters are doing so because they can't afford another option... I know lots of people are using these heaters to heat one room of their house, and leaving the rest of the house chill... However, I don't confuse my poor financial standing with the value of a product. This thermostat would likely pay for itself in two weeks if you were using the schedule to heat an area instead of leaving your heater run all the time. Put aside $10 week and you'll have money to buy one in less than two months. One last thought. I find it thoroughly amusing that people are angry about the price of a product they didn't know existed just a few minutes ago... Like... You don't have to buy it. If it was $1000, that would be over priced, but if Bureck decided to sell it for that much you still have the same choice to make ... do I want to spend X on it or not. The other option is to make one yourself ... How hard can it be if it's not worth $50

If they get enough support on this product, I can see then doing that... however, this single product is able to work with many more heaters than a plug in unit would be. It's difficult to start a business like this, so I think this is the smart way to go. Having a wired controller does make a lot more sense to me, because it is always going to be in the area of the heater, and that way you don't need to worry about a power source.

You can get the plug in one for $50. No good reason I can see for having the battery one 🤷‍♂️ There may be a good reason... If you can get a heater for $50 that means the heater is ridiculously cheap... and part of the reason you can get it for $50 is because it doesn't have features like thermostat control and a schedule. I personally can't afford one of these thermostats... but that's because I'm poor. The product, in my mind is more than reasonable priced, as it is a luxury item. You can buy a Vevor Bluetooth heater and it comes with some of these features, but it will cost you more than $50. My first heater cost me $185.99 and didn't even have a clock.

@@loweredexpectations4927 What's micro usb-c? I've only heard of Micro USB, and USB-C. Micro-USB was the small USB standard for most smaller devices for a long time, and it had a pretty high failure rate. USB-C is infinitely superior. I'm not aware of anything called micro USB-C.

@@Wrenchmonkey1 there's also mini usb commonly used on Garmin GPS & some car camera dvr's. It's about twice as thick as the micro. I'd also like to see USB-C on any future models. It's becoming a worldwide standard now that the E.U. is requiring it on all phones, including Apple's. The plug works either way you insert it & it can carry a lot more power, even enough for the glow plug I think.

What has to happen to a person in their life, that they are this entitled ? This is absurd !! First off.... Vevor DOES offer this function, on their Bluetooth models. Secondly, these heaters have been out for decades, and dozens of companies have manufactured them.... "Withholding" as you call it means that it existed and they just aren't giving it to you.... This requires effort to create a product that does this... there's a huge difference. I hope you are just having a bad day and aren't always this much of an idiot... Lmao. It has nothing to do with vevor. It's not a function of the heater. It's a 3rd party remote that turns the heater on and off for you. No different than you turning the heater on and off with the controller when you notice it's to hot or cold.
