Just drove my wife's 2021 cx30 to Philip Island for 3 days over the past weekend, what a pleasing car to drive long distance about 120km each way, this being the cars first drive outside Greater Melbourne. Totally loved the headlights switching on off during poor light and it was found its job as we drove into the night to Philip island and found the perfect daylight running lights??? serving me best.

when uncle mention about 2nd gear bouncing around rev limiter and not shifting to the 3rd gear by itself, i have a similar thing happen in MZ3 2022 on 3rd gear when i forgot to shift to 4th gear just made me realise that mazda greatly confident about their gearbox can withstand such pressure put into...

Such a fun drive to watch. Uncle YS has driven some beast machines but I love to see that he can still really enjoy driving cars that the rest of us can own. Big fan of Mazda. I wish we had a market that could bring in more spec options for our cars.

Excellent drive!

Probably the only car to show the compass and latitude numbers for easy inputting into GPS or Maps to find your current position. Extremely useful in case of emergency or you get lost you could take a photo of it and send it to your friends/loved one or emergency services for them to locate you.

I own a 2021 cx30 and let me tell you it is a very good canyon carver. Very sure footed

the CX30 is a middle ground between husband and wife. wife who are more family and comfort oriented, at the same time for men who loves driving more aggressively. and mazda the setup makes driving so easy. win win situation.

Driving under such misty condition really requires more concentration... yet Uncle does it with ease.. Bravo ! I hv always enjoyed looking at Mazda's interior . Back in the days the mazda capella & 808 interior was pretty cool for the time

Your voice was crystal clear and didn't hear much background noise, is the cabin noise insolation very good? By the way, when Mazda cars are in manual mode, it wouldn't upshift by itself.

Hello ! I am watching from Athens, Greece. Such a nice video with real driving ... I fell like I am in the car and participate in the test drive. I drove seceral cars before I made my choice ... it wasnt difficult for me to understand that this is the right SUV in this car segmant the most suitable for buyers who are fun to drive lovers as well ... the ones that do not look only for a car to dirve from one place to the other for work and shopping. Here in Europe and in Greece with get the e-skyactive x model with the 186hp power train. I chose a version called Nagisa in Europe but in markets outside Europe has different names. I have ordered it the last days of 2023 ... and I am expecting to receive it next month... I cant wait ! for color I chose the lovely Machine Gray witch has a very nice pearl effect when the sun hits the surface of the car. it makes also a nice contrast with the inside colors of the car in this version with the terracotta interior.

Which car would Uncle recommend? CX30 High/High+ or HRV-RS?

Unker YS, I always have a good feeling about this Mazda CX30.. One strong reason is because the lower gravity of the chassis and the wide body of SUV, It's make the car look confident perfectly for high speed and as a fun car's to drive... I can assume this car handle well with such dynamic body with paring 2.0 sky active engine & 6 speed transmission... Unlike the same segment others brand model, Toyota Cross & Honda HR-V, both are definitely SUV DNA even the HR-V came with 1.5T engine, but doesn't mean the car consider best driving feeling... Even I've not tested CX30, but from the outlook of the body chassis, already knew CX30 are highly recommend 👍

The CKD CX30 got a much rougher sounding engine,feels a bit painful to rev. The Mazda 3 and CX 30 CBU version has the sweetest n smoothest revving 2.0l NA engine i have heard. This is surprising because i don't detect such difference in quality between CKD n CBU Civic, BMW or Merc. The sweet engine is one of the primary reasonsto buy a Mazda, without which better go Civic which handles even better.
