Summer is here. The mercury is hitting triple digits in the Northern California Motherlode. We return to one of our favorite South Yuba locales because it has shady spots that we can dig. We figure out a plan to beat both the heat and the skunk. We intersperse our digging and dumping of rusty hydrauliced tailings gravel with some heat stroke preventing total submersions in the spiritually cleansing waters of Mother Yuba. We bliss out during the golden hour, dream some blue dreams and go home with more than enough glittering gold to put a smile on our face. We offer thanks to Mother Yuba.
