I can't believe all the journalists are asking about her meeting with Brad Pitt when she has a career in acting almost as long as Brad Pitt lived. Please ask about her career.

Nobody seems to understand why she was so happy to finally meet Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt is one of the producers of Minari but never showed up during production. He happened to present her tonight by coincidence.

Who cares about brad Pitt. She’s the one who won the award. It’s her night.

She has a whole acting career y'all could ask about, but people really just kept asking about her minutes-long interaction with Brad Pitt instead.

I'm not even Korean, but as an Asian, I'm really proud of her.

Awful that the reporters are asking about Brad Pitt. They got it wrong, she wasn't swooning about him when she was on on stage. She was asking in jest where he was during their filming (as a joke of course) because he was producer of Minari but he never turned up on set.

All these questions about Brad Pitt just shows how ignorant all these reporters are. They obviously didn't have enough knowledge about Yuh-Jung Yoon, the winner here, to ask her any questions specific to HER career and the movie Minari. Those reporters should've done their work and at least try to ask relevant questions. How rude to ask her what someone "smelled" like.. just amazed at the rock bottom quality of these reporters.

Last question in this interview could be very rude if Youn's long and wonderful career was considered; why Brad Pitt's smell??? However, Youn's answer was still witty: I'm not a dog 😢

All these reporters are amateurs. They didn't do any research about her career. They must have graduated quite prestigious schools, and all the questions they ask were extremely shallow, white-centred, American-centred, and ignorant. She is a true legend in Korea, and just because she is from another country that doesn't mean her career and her professionalism is lesser than the ones' from more globalized, capitalized, and massive film industry. I am so happy that she won the award, but the way she is being treated there makes me think that there is a long way to go for US.

This lady is an awesome actress, I watched a lot of South Korean dramas/movies and her acting is superb! I haven't seen the movie yet but look forward to watching it. South Korea has so many talented actors...love watching their dramas and movies. So glad to see them winning Oscars now, they deserve it...

First, she told Pitt "Give us Minari team more money because we worked so hard" and Pitt said yes. And she invited Pitt to visit Korea because everyone in Korea loves him, and again he said yes. And he told her how he admires her, but she said to reporters she didn't believe it because people too easily and too much praise you in USA and you shouldn't believe these word literally.

Yuh Jung Youn-Nim, this award shows have really shown me a different side to her, adorable & funny! I've always seen her on the screen as mysterious alluring slightly intimidating phenomenal actress/celebrity. Basically I used to think of her as a "female" Sir Antony Hopkins coz I admire their acting prowess, they're on that legendary calibre for me & they're both on my list of "celebrities I would feel a little scared/intimidated" to meet in real life!
