Hello! I am currently in the works of building a new PC and I haven't found a genuine answer for a question I've been needing. I know a A520M-HDV supports most Ryzen 5 5500 chips out of the box but I'm looking more for the Ryzen 5 3600 instead, but I want to know if the 3600 is supported out of the box too without a bios update!

Please, why in the world would they need to? When a viewer sees a fake price of a component, when they search for it at that price , they get disappointed and frustrated about it not being true, and the channel would lose a possible subscriber and lose view count over time. Please be quiet, no one cares that you think you’re intelligent by claiming that a channel would do something to actively harm their income. AND I was searching for 1070s on eBay and about 6 months ago and they were around 120, so how could a FASTER gpu cost 40 dollars more then a WHITE COLORED MODEL of a 1060. Please take your meds for paranoia.

Yes, even though I'm using the RTX 2080 now and preparing to buy 3080, buy and sell a lot of GPUs but somehow I still keep exactly this Asus 1060 Dual. For me this GPU greatly affected my performance back then when I upgraded from 1050 to 1060 and did a lot of things not only playing games, really loved it and didn't want to sell it.

@@kaitogg322 yes i know... I think i will try to reduce the textures a bit... after the upgrade and 2 weeks later RE4 made me rethink that 8gb of Vram is still enough at 1440p or not, at least for the next 2-3 years...

The Ryzen 5 3600 is slept on, it handles 1440p gaming with my 6650xt without issue and I’ve pushed it with some PS3 emulation that needs 6 cores at a minimum for smooth gameplay. Shockingly good considering it came out a few years ago, aged like wine

The Ryzen 5 3600 is starting to become one of my favourites too as you can pair it with a lot of GPUs. I think Hardware Unboxed tested it with an RTX 3080 and RX6800 and showed it could handle higher end GPUs without too much issue at 1440p and higher resolutions (bottlenecks the GPU at 1080p though but if you've got a 3080/6800 you're probably aiming at 1440p and higher). I can sometimes find Ryzen 5 5500 brand new for almost the same price as used 3600s in my area (within $20-30) so I'll pick up the R5 5500 every now and then as it performs similarly to the R5 3600.

I like the R5 3600, it does well with 1440p as well, paired with a mid-class card (mine was paired with a 5700xt)

Hey Zach, great content! I made my first pc build yesterday with this case, a320 mb, Ryzen 5 2600 and Rx 5700xt all bargains for bout 400$ for the total build! I accidentally bought a bit bigger case and the motherboard is micro... any ideas how to get better aestethics or just upgrade it in the future? P.S. If someone is getting older Ryzen cpu check what rams it supports, i needed to clock my ram back to 2933mhz for system stability.

i've been wanting to get into pc flipping for a while, but i think this is the pc build that i may start with, granted i have had to change the parts a bit due to insane part prices where i live (different nearly everything except cpu and gpu), but i managed to keep a sick looking white build at a pretty similar price of 430 ish (including the cable extensions)

Recently got a near mint Asus Turbo GTX 1060 6 gig on eBay for around 87 USD after tax. 26 USD of that was shipping. I still got a great deal. It is my favorite GTX 1060 variant. Has a little white lighting in Asus' logo. Blower-style card. But my platform with it is a little meh. Using an Optiplex 990 DT with i7 2600 and 16 gig Dual-Channel RAM (4x4) 1333 mhz. Sata ssd, and hdd for games/movies/etc.

Got a fully mod marblebron psu for 30 at 650w. test benching a similar 3600 build. No fire even forgetting hogwarts for 50mins for a temp test.

IO shields really shouldn't be a massive problem anymore. Pretty sure a quick 3D print would fix it for you.. It might even look better if you print it in white or black (or whatever accent color you are using in the PC build).

That’s more than enough to play only valorant cause it’s depend on CPU, I have Ryzen 5 5600x with rx 580 8gb i put out 450-500 fps

@@Moltenpearl168 thanks mate, but I change ryzen 5 7600 (non-x) + Rtx 2060 to ryzen 5 5700x + rtx 3060 12gb Because I was planning in the future to have a dual pc, 1 for streaming ( the ryzen 5 5700x one) and the ryzen 7900x3d and radeon 7800xt (for gaming). P/s: I think 240hz is too fast for me so I downgraded it to 165hz for cheaper

You forgot to add taxes. Some of us do not have sales exempt forms you know. Your $400 build turns to $433 here in Texas. Some higher in other states. Also where did you sell. Some platforms add their fee and you still have to ship. That profit margin decreases drastically.

Don't be scared, that's where mistakes are made. Be careful. Don't let it intimidate you either, it's a lot easier than it seems. Make sure your parts are compatible.
