This might be silly, but my favorite thing about Gabriel's lifts are his single aggressive grunts. No drawn-out groan or shriek, all of it focused in a single expulsion. That shit is manly, haha.

Im turning 30 this year and im PISSED that i only came across this channel last year. You've done a truly incredible job of teaching, exposing and uplifting the yt fitness community (among other content creators). Im currently still teaching myself these lifts but its changed my training in so many ways and has made me passionate about something i wish i was exposed to years ago. Thanks man

Hey man, I’m 31 and I just found the channel, too. You’re not alone! Don’t focus on the past; crush the future. I’m ready to turn over a new leaf into my 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. Here’s to hoping the content on this channel will be available for decades. Onwards an upwards!

Hey Zack just wanted to thank you for the vids. Have lifted weights for years have never oly lifted. Going to start learning the oly lifts. Your channel is a huge reason why. So amazing to see these weights get thrown around so fast. Never want to walk away from the barbell and this just opens up a whole other avenue. I appreciate it a ton!

The 9:00 mark where you describe the catching position in the snatch is very helpful. For safety I'd always tried to maintain full external rotation in my shoulders, but it's very limiting on depth (especially for a 6'1'' lifter like me.) I'm glad to hear you can compromise some external rotation while maintaining enough stability to avoid injury.

And oof I'm surprised no one voted Lu's 177kg @ the rio olympics, specially with the amount video material that was made of it! Maybe the Lu crowd moved on to different sports by now? I would like to see the speed graph of Ahab's snatch. It looks to me that he slows the bar down on the start of the second pull when pushes his knees forward. 2. not only are his shoulders far forward, his hips rise pretty high in the first pull. Ideally the angle of the spine shouldn't change in the first pull. but blime me, I can't do what he does. :D

Would Lashas squat be worthy of covering? His bar position is considerably lower compared to other lifters I’ve seen, and he always back squats during the week of competition rather than front squatting like most top level lifters I’ve seen. Maybe you have some thoughts as to why he trains this way.

Ilya Ilyin 246 from 2015. The way that fridge kinda runs into the barbell just to give himself a bit more time to accelerate it is beyond me. Like, he swings it away right from the floor and gets some horisontal displacement to make the lift because his legs are just... Fridge like.
