Zain is more like M2K. Everyone knows that he is great and he can beat everyone, but he does not seem to win the big tournaments. Armada would win a lot more tournaments.

I think Zain is the most concistent player since Armada, he has hardly any bad losses (although he still lacks the big wins).

It does make sense but I'm pretty sure the conclusion wouldn't be how some games reward "losing". Instead the point would be how in most games the player who makes less mistakes (or at least less impactful ones) automatically wins while here both players pretty much had to make good plays to close a game. Although in the interview Mang0 says he played "very safe" lol

I think recently a top Smash player did tweet out that losses are hard and that you should give players space when they get knocked out. It wouldn't make sense to just immediately jump to anyone and try to comfort them when they just got second at a large event like this.

NathanRW all opinion based. No other game delivers this kinda hype. If you’ve been following melee for long enough, a win like this is unexplainable. Maybe in the coming years ultimate could create this hype, but it’s too new of a game in my opinion. That being said, ultimate is a great game (one I enjoy playing quite a bit), and leagues better than smash 4. That game was painful.

@@NathanRW I like playing Ultimate but it's so boring to watch. Garbo hit-stun/launch distance, limited combos, slow, etc. To me Melee will always be the best Smash game from a spectator POV

I would counter that with Armada. The most consistent player to ever to play fox and peach. I love both players though. It's crazy that they've both have played floaty characters to much success

Evo is the tournament that has the record of most attendance of any tournament in history. Armada lost evo 2016 being in winners bracket is embarrassing. Evo 2018 got swept by leffen 3-0 . Then retires .

It’s the Super Bowl of fighting games, its The Olympic Games, it’s Wrestlemania, it’s The World Cup. So many players enter to compete and only one comes out on top. Yea it would’ve been better to see best of 5 games but in a big stage like that, it can be very time consuming for the venue. BUT NO EXCUSES, best of 3 for top 8 then best of 5 for winners, losers and grand finals. And that’s it, no room for mistakes. It’s about who’s the best at the moment in front of thousands of people when it really matters the most! So yes, it does matter. EVO: 2013- Mango 2014- Mango 2015- Armada 2016- Hbox 2017- Armada 2018- Leffen To me I have Mango and Armada at tie but looking back I would slightly give it to Armada simply because he went to EVO grand finals 4 years in a row, that’s fucken crazy!
