I just have to say something: Thank you. I have watched several of your videos (and start The Quarry as well) and I have been pleasantly surprised by the things I haven't seen. I stopped watching a lot of straight reactors because a lot of their materials boils down to their attraction to the female cast, often saying things that just takes me out of the reaction in pure ugh. So far, every single time I am like "oh he is probably going to say something about her in a gross manner", you never do. I actually get to enjoy you as a reactor, reacting to the film/show/game as a whole. It is refreshing. It is respectful. And I thank you. PS. Before anyone says anything, it is one thing to have celebrity crushes and talk about that. It's quite another to make gross comments throughout the reaction just to prove you are straight. We get it. You like girls. And yes, I generally stop watching after a certain point.

This movie was very much inspired by The Thing and they really made it seem like Usher would be one of the main characters but he's just a supporting character.

Usher was the biggest fake out of all time. He’s on the cover and I was expecting this huge roll. He has maybe 3 minutes of screen time 😂 and if that is true, I’m very excited to watch The Thing eventually 👀

This one was special for how good the cast was in their roles. It was like The Breakfast Club meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers....and it was great. Very simple presence. Relatively short movie. Josh Hartnett as Zeke the rebel, Clea Duvall as Stokes the Wildcard, Elijah as The Geek, and Jordana Brewster as the coolest, hottest high school chick you've ever seen, were especially perfect.

Recently rewatched this movie after not having seen it for like 20 years since i was a kid, and i was surprised at how well it held up. Legit a good teen horror movie and the cast is insane. Even the bit players are fun -- did you notice that that one police officer is cameraman Joel from Scream 2? Also, half the ire that we have towards Gale Weathers' bangs in Scream 3 should be redirected to Zeke's hairstyle in The Faculty. It's only fair.

Also, great point about Zeke’s hair lol… one of the worst choices I’ve seen in a movie BUT it kinda works for his personality. Zeke gives 0 fucks, and for that he’s MVP 🙌 probably one of my favorite characters in a while

I had that southern connection with Marybeth and I thought she was genuinely sweet, but now looking back on all her conversations with Stokley… she was just trying to conform everyone!! Such a good little twist. I should’ve known she had something to do with it based on the clues but Kevin got me good! Such a good movie! Thanks for watching with me Reesie!! ❤️

Notice how the parasites changed the personalities into the opposite versions of the hosts they invaded. It changed the mean coach into a nicer one and it changed Delilah's confident character into a paranoid one etc. Stan's personality was confident and cool and when the parasite got him he turned panic mode and was jittery. Stokely's character was quiet but when possessed she became outspoken.

Fun fact about Josh Hartnett (Zeke)- His feature film debut was in Halloween H20 ( my favorite Halloween movie) that was made at the same time as this. He was working on both movies at the same time and actually signed up for The Faculty first but Halloween came out before this. He has the same goofy hair cut that he did himself. 😂 Also, will you be reacting to You’re Next somewhat soon? I think you’re gonna like that also!

I need to watch Halloween H20 then! I’ve only seen the first one and the new Blumhouse trilogy. I can’t believe he gave himself that haircut 😂😂 he’s a handsome guy so he must’ve been struggling. He’s actually in Oppenheimer and he’s probably one of my favorites in the movie! I have You’re Next on the list and will probably watch it this year, I just don’t know when. I’ve had a few people ask about it so if I don’t watch it before September, it may get added to the October horror marathon 👀 And I’m very happy you recommended this movie! Delilah gets turned in the classroom scene by one of the fingers. The only person next to her for help was Marybeth. And the Neve Campbell/Love Hewitt tape wasn't just for being scream queens, but they were both on Party of Five, which was a huge show at the time.

So glad you enjoyed it! I’ve always loved the Body Snatchers meets Breakfast Club vibe of this one and you can’t beat Kevin Williamson’s classic 90s wit (I don’t think you could get a laugh out of calling someone a “bipolar b*tch” these days lol). If you’re interested in more creature/sci-fi horror, I’d recommend The Blob (1988) and The Relic (1996), if you haven’t seen them yet!

Plus in the beginning of Cabin, when the three employees are talking, the guy goes, "Please we haven't had a glitch since 98'." Which is the year The Faculty took place!

I know even less about this movie than you, and that intro was subversion city. But there are so many familiar faces, some who made it in Hollywood and some who didn't. 9:46 And Clea DuVall/Stokeley is known for playing a lesbian and she is one irl 10:15 I absolutely agree 14:08 hahahaha what a nice little reference to those two horror icons, GJ Kevin Williamson

What’s up Pippa! I’m surprised you haven’t seen this one! Stokeley was one of my favorites in this movie so I need to check out more of her work. Elijah Wood was literally Peter Parker in this whole movie. He even had a camera lol. And Kevin had to throw some love their way for sure! I’d be willing to bet Scream and I know What You Did Last Summer got this movie a fast track to production based on their success. So I’m not surprised he referenced them. Thanks for watching as always my friend, even if you haven’t seen this one. Definitely worth watching if you can find it streaming lol. I had to rent it

TCM, TCM2 TCM, TCM3 TCM, TCM:NEXT GENERATION TCM(REMAKE), TCM:THE BEGINNING Crap you can toss...but here is the watch order... TCM, TCM3D, LEATHERFACE TCM(Netflix) Hope this helps, Cole. TCM:Next Generation is one of Matthew McConaughey first starring roles and Renee Zellwiger's first movie. Batshit crazy ...bad,but good movie.

Hey man, another slam-dunk reaction. I always liked this movie as a kid but it wasn't well-received when it came out. I guess I was ahead of my time. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Fun facts: I drive by the school where this was shot every time I go downtown. And I used to live in the neighborhood where Casey's house scenes were shot. Also, my older sister's high school friend won the car Zeke was driving after the film wrapped shooting here. They fixed it up after the crash and gave it away in a local radio contest, if I remember correctly.

I saw a comment on a reaction to a movie named Cabin In The Woods that said there’s a theory that it was a spiritual sequel to this movie. (No direct continuation, but a few winks and nudges throughout that hint at it). I actually really like Cabin in the Woods, so that could be a good movie for you to watch as well.

Hey dude, great reaction from this 90's classic! If you're a fan of this movie, you'll definitely get a kick out of my recommendation "Disturbing behavior". Disturbing behavior has a very similar vibe to the faculty. But the main difference being instead of aliens, we've got some hypnotizing mind control going on in the school. It's definitely a cool 90's flick that I recommend.

I had a crush on Jordana Brewster the second I saw this back in '98 and still do to this day. Damn she's pretty. Btw... the creepy re-make of Pink Floyd's song The Wall you hear throughout is by a supergroup called Class Of '99. Rumor has it that it was really Marilyn Manson singing but was credited under a different name.

I was small and weak in high school. I got picked on alot. I should have stood up and taken my licks because I would have put a few on the bullies as well. I was afraid. I either skipped school or hid out in the library all day. I actually learned more in the library than I ever did in class. I dropped out in my senior yr but went on to be quite smart. High school was just babysitting a-holes who thought that they were cool.

Born and raised in SC and I went to Clemson! But after I graduated I moved to Florida. Thanks for the channel love man! I feel like my accent isn’t too strong but to others outside the south… they call it out every time! It makes me wonder how I sound in others peoples perspective.

@@TheDorkSideTV I grew up in Texas. My dad grew up in Arkansas. So I know Southern accents well - though there are varieties of Southern accents too. Never been to Florida. Kudos to you for living there. I could never do it given how backwards the state's politics are. I lost whatever accent I had but I can still revert to it when visiting the South.

Kevin Williamson has a bad habit of making his teen characters say very unrealistic stuff. Every movie or show, the teens are "more mature" intellectually than any kids I remember going to school with.
