this reboot was absolutely not necessary but the decision to make the fake boyfriend not only not endgame (as usual in these cases) but ALSO a serial killer is kind of iconic

It's honestly shocking how Jamie Lynn had control of production but still managed to make Zoey an asshole in this movie.

I just can’t get over how pathetic and cringe Chase and Zoey were in the movie. Their “romance” was so awkward and atrociously forced. I actually feel disgusted and embarrassed having seen it. The only couple you can’t say are a better love story than Twilight. Quinn and Logan were the only thing that saved this from being a complete dumpster fire.

The beat thing this movie did was prove Zoey is a terrible person. The worst thing it did was allow her to win at the end.

I think this movie kind of parallels real life. 15 years ago, Jamie Lynn Spears was all over the place and now she’s kind of fizzled out in the movie. Kind of brings that out and all the other characters kind of moved on and found success just like their actor counterparts

Zoey 101 having a reboot feels so random. Like you said in the video, it just kind of ended when it ended. I feel like if they really wanted to do another reboot it should have been Victorious. I remember when Victorious came to Netflix a while back, people were obsessing over it, and it managed to bring new fans long after it ended. Zoey 101 on the other hand, doesn't have that same appeal 🤷‍♀️

I never watched Zoey 101, but as someone who really likes cars, the funniest thing to me is that the car you can win in the show is a Pontiac Solstice coupe. That car was produced in 2009 and 2010. A reality show trying to make you win a 13 year old car just feels hilarious!

I didn't watch the film because of what happened with Alexa Nicholas. Honestly, Alexa's story makes SO much more sense if you go back to rewatch the show, obviously, I don't anymore and the show as a whole has aged poorly due to all of these things coming to light. It's so weird how Alexa was cast as the best friend of the show (who was also the best character, and I'm not saying it because of what happened, but legit comparing her to everyone else Nicole was the most entertaining of the bunch), yet Erin Sander's character Quinn was the one whom everyone treated like the outcast amongst the group during Alexa's tenure on the show, she was basically Alexa's role in the show! What's even worse is that in the very next season following Alexa's departure which was Season 3 they had Victoria Justice's character up and replace Nicole's role in the show, as in all of the personality traits Nicole (Alexa's character) had been given to Victoria's character Lola whereas Season 2 she had different personality. And they also introduced Stacy who was treated as the Meg Griffin of the show that replaced Quinn's old role as the girl everyone picked on. When you rewatch the show, it's now SO disgusting how much of a clique all of the main characters were toward particular characters who were written to be outcasts, ONLY for the actors to all do the same to Alexa off-camera! And ironically Zoey was the one who started the cliques, and considering who plays Zoey and she was by far the WORST of all the Dan Schnider protagonists it all makes sense. Zoey is easily the worst of all the Schnider's Bakery protagonists, especially in Season 4 in episodes like Anger Management or Dinner for Too Many. At least despite all the crap Jeanette McCurdy went through had a nice supportive cast by her side, even though it doesn't excuse Dan's obvious influence of the character that can creep in during rewatches, I don't think it's as bad as with Zoey101. I even own a copy of her book too, it's really good! I really enjoy your videos btw, but I'd love to see a video about Cody Martin since like Justin Russo he's a character from a Disney show who went through awful character derailment and was so unlikable for over half of Suite Life on Deck. Strangely I don't ever hear any more mention of this.

Also, this storyline makes no sense because they were in boarding school, why ON EARTH would so many of them be living in the same place so many years after school ended. Very unrealistic imo

I came to absolutely adore the iCarly revival, as it actually builds upon the lore but is still fresh. It has heart. This doesn’t have that heart. The only thing I liked about the movie was Logan & Quinn getting married.

I think Jamie Lynn wrote the script. I'm 100% sure. Before a reboot, you need to rebuild a relationship with the cast and actually think about making the reboot memorable. Chase and Zoey had zero chemistry in this movie. And this should have been done a few years ago because some of them have aged poorly. When it was 2019 and they came to All THat, they looked wayyy better. Logan and Quinn were the only ones that look good. Where was Dustin? Where was Kristin Herrera? She was in the last reunion. Where was Michael's girlfriend? What happened with this time capsule? What happened with James?

We got this but they passed on a Ned's Declassifed reunion movie. The cast does a regular podcast and I think has a wider audience!

PCA not being a real school explains why so many of the characters aren't mature enough to behave like level-headed adults. none of them are capable of having adult conversations and the wherewithal to not resort to convoluted lies, plans that really weren't thought through, and general lack of situational awareness or responses.

I watched this out if curiosity and stayed for Logan and Quinn. They were my favorite ship on the show and I loved seeing their relationship and chemistry again on screen. Todd was a fun part of this movie and the movie was worth it for him. As for poscasts, I can understand the want for wizards of waverly place having one because Alex v. Alex was not a good ending. I do want to see a show or movie that actually gives everyone closure. But do agree we need to create original works again.

You’re an icon and a legend for putting this review together but I’m taking off points for not remembering that Quinn and Logan professed their love for each other by screaming it across the dance floor at prom in the last episode of the show because they’re the only worthwhile couple that came out of this series. A+, though, even after the point deduction, we love to see it. 🎉

If Zoey 101 was the most dramatic kids show you have seen, I can’t help but laugh in Mexican 😂 When I was a kid, we had telenovelas for children in Televisa. Zoey 101 is nothing for Latin America, especially for Argentina.

I think they really didn't understand the draw of the initial show being that it's self insert of going to an amazing boarding school having hijinks and drama. Without the setting of PCA this movie could've been any wedding rom com. They banked on Jamie Lynn as the character of Zoe way too hard. I think they should've set this in PCA at a school reunion. It could still have turned out that the school was fake, because that's actually funny. They'd all arrive to an abandoned building and make the best of it, having an adventure like they used to, while revisiting the time capsure! I'd have enjoyed some of the adults having cameos too. I actually rewatched this show a lot, because reruns aired every year on German Nickelodeon. I also didn't know at the time who Jamie Lynn was. She was too unknown to be in our headlines when she got pregnant, which I guess is why they kept airing it over here.

I feel like victoria wasn't in this due to her allegedly being blackballed for not sleeping with a certian producer. It's so sad because her career had so much potential

It's all about different tastes. I have watched all 4 seasons of Zoey 101 several times over the years, however I have never finished iCarly or Victorious as I never could get into those shows. There are tons of people on the internet who are excited for this and wanted it, btw.

Is any movie, show or piece of media that is ever produced for entertainment purposes "necessary"? No, but they make it anyway, because they can. A bad movie will always be a bad movie, it doesn't matter if it's Zoey 101, iCarly, Ned's Declassified or something original.

Zoey 101 may have been the first time I ever shipped a couple so hard. My middle school heart was dying for it. My mid-twenties heart is laughing at the idea anyone believes those two are lasting past the credits of this movie 😂

this was absolutely Horrible and boring i couldnt even finish through the entire movie i clicked off before it ended, the movie clearly was not needed i even liked the 5 minute Dan schneider zoey 101 continuation titled "What Did Zoey Say?" that he made in 2015 better than this entire movie, i feel like if dan schnieder actually worked on this the movie would of actually been good but obviously hes a creep so they couldnt do that so they should of just not made this, i also feel like something that could of made the movie a bit more exciting EVEN if the story, Writing, Acting, was bad is if they brought back Dana Lola and Nicole, i understand the actor of nicole not wanting to work with the cast but atleast Dana and Lola either way this movie is Non canon to the zoey 101 story because in sam and Kat Coco returned and she said she was still working at PSA but in the movie they said PSA shit down in 2009.
