ZX4R Slip On DB Killer - Too Quiet ?

Күн бұрынThe Yoshimura AT2 Slip On sounds great, but 106dB is a BIT loud for some folks. In this video I test the INS-20-K sound insert, aka db killer, for the ZX4R Slip On. Is it too loud, does it sound good, let me know!

Great vid! I have a 23 and live in a townhome community so I face the same problem. I commute so I can’t blast 90+db at idle at 5-6am. I’ve been looking at the Yosh pipe as I like its sound the best. Thanks for the info. Gotta check out your other vids.

My Yoshimura Alpha T slip-on (for Daytona 675) came with a "sound insert", but I took it out after testing it briefly. I didn't like what it did to the tone of the exhaust compared to not having it in. It was also too quiet with my earplugs in....which I have to wear due to wind noise. I feel a little guilty when I ride at night, but I just crawl into and out of my neighborhood at low rpm. The Subaru WRX next door is louder than me anyway... I uploaded a video of it recently. Another idea I had was to measure and buy a friction fit baffle with a metal wire pull handle welded across it. Then I can just put it in until I clear the neighborhood and remove it for the rest of the ride. Too bad Yoshi's baffle is not easy to put in and take out.

just ordered one in black last week super hyped i was thinking about going the austin racing route with the exhaust system if i cant understand them then yoshi (austin racing is euro brand)

Congrats on the purchase ! I had no idea Austin Racing is a euro brand, I thought it was from Texas ;-p
