Pray for me! My wife of 9 years moved out and we're now separated. We still talk and text a little and as much as she allows but she seems to be done with our marriage. This has been the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I'm to blame. Gonna try these steps.

My wife and I have been separated for four months and it's destroying me. We have kids together and i want to make it work, but i think she doesn't anymore. And im starting to lose all hope and faith in us. One minute shes willing to try, the next shes all confused. She says it's not another man, but i honestly don't believe her.

I agree with most of these points. But a husbands job is to love his wife and take of her to the best of his ability. If your wife is unhappy, there’s nothing you can do to make her happy. IF, she’s unhappy because of herself and nothing you’ve done

Sorry but if she has been with other men its over. Its not about her its about your own self respect and self love. Never be plan B, never been a back up plan. She will come back only if her choice for chad ends up failing. Be true to yourself and do what she did. Chose to be happy on your own.

My mother in law convinced my wife not to reconcile, after I left. They wanted full custody of the children so they used my attempts to reconcile as an excuse to get a protection order (they failed). Unfortunately, she did get custody of the children, due to smacking. My mistakes after leaving, was failing to recognise and acknowledge that I'd been controlling. And telling her I might as well remarry. Those majorly set us back. She has no desire to reconcile. It feels pointless. But if there is any hope, I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

Nope. If you fall on the friendzone you have two problems: she will leave you there for emotional support and what have you, and 2 if you have a new partner, unless they are extremely secure, you will not retain them. So the best is to either be patient and continue to rebuild attraction under the premise that you only want a romantic interaction, or to turn the page, accept the friendship and move on. The only thing I strongly advice is to have a friendLY interaction if there are kids involved. They don't care if you sleep together, but they do care if you treat each other well.

This guy I know is still waiting since 2015 for his cheating wife to come back like an idiot. She sleeps with so many men and tells him she will never come back to him. She slept with his cousin and doesn’t care. She says she won’t get back with him but won’t divorce him so that she can hold the marriage over his head because she knows how he feels about the covenant. This lady is evil and I believe men should STOP allowing these women who are unevenly yoked and committing adultery. This lady hasn’t even looked back for him. Stop failing our young men with this nonsense of standing when the wives are clearly telling the husbands that they don’t want them anymore.

EVEN WHEN SHES SLEEPING WITH OTHER MEN?!!!!!!!!! It’s like some men are using God as an excuse for standing for their marriage but in all reality they are waiting for their wives to stop sleeping around. How disgusting. I’m sick of people just allowing these women to sleep around while they stand in pain, disgust and agony. God does NOT want that for His children! It’s also teaching your sons that if they choose a cheating wife, that it’s ok for a husband to wait for their wife to get tired of being ran through by men other than her husbands like idiots while their mother sleeps around. NO BUENO

She ran away and filed for divorce - it was final 10/22. We had lunch after the divorce and a couple more conversations then she blocked me everywhere. We don't have kids but I believed we had a great relationship. Should I keep waiting? I bumped into her in church she said we will never have a future...

At 10:00, a 3rd option is to be open to the possibility that you don't want her as much as you think. Allow the separation to show you that much of what you think is want is actually neediness. You've grown to depend on her in areas where you need to emotionally mature yourself. Seperation can give you that kind of clarity. "Men want to be needed, women need to be wanted."

I left her, she was an extreme alcoholic and I hung on for so long Praying to God that she gets clean. I Eventually left her to hit Rock bottom. After she had an affair and relapsed out of treatment and now she's sober and beautiful and everything I wanted her to be. But now the only problem is she has a boyfriend. I randomly asked her after a year of not speaking if she wanted to go with me to an indoor park with the kids. Afterwards I walked her to her Car. I asked her for a Hug, she gave me a hug and went to walk away. I grabbed her and held her tight and kissed her. I then whispered in her ear "Nothing is too broken to fix, I still Love you" I think that shocked her. A few days Later, I got her over to my house after the Kids were asleep and I made passionate Love to her. Again she was left shocked, however now feeling guilty because she has a boyfriend of 10 months. Now I am scared, that she might not leave him for me. We are still speaking everyday, she has also agreed to Marriage Counseling. I am just scared and in turn I am know I am trying to rush things too fast. I need to just breathe and let her Feelings come to surface. I know, she still have strong feelings for me. Judging by the Face that she had such intense Orgasms when we had Sex. I am just a very territorial Man and it breaks me to know she is being intimate with another Man. I just need to be patient. She knows when I set my Mind to something, I don't give up, I am very persistent. I think given everything. I think she is going to come back to me.

I started listening to you a long while ago my wife and I separated in August 2016 and we divorced in 2022 I asked if she would join me and attend the marriage helper course in USA I live in the UK I was going to use a credit card to pay and she point blank refused instead I paid $500 for the online marriage helper course. I have been with another woman a year and six months after separation my life descended further knowing I had failed myself and my family, I'm still hopeful even after my divorce to restore my marriage

Yeap, I am at 5+ years waiting(separated, 2 different houses and no outsiders influence on either side(i.e BF for her or GF for me) that I am aware of...although she is a pro at concealment so no telling with 100% confidence). Anyhow, this video is so timely....I have stuck it out in spite of no encouragement and with no real indication from her that she has any intention of trying to sort this out. I also have gotten to the point where I don't think I would want the relationship reconciled. A few years ago that shift started happening inside of me where I don't really want her back now, although I still miss her deeply. I have decided to remain until my youngest boys would begin to understand that I am not abandoning her or them, our "relationship" has reached a point that is an impasse. So I am working with my counselor to undo the emotional PTSD this has caused and am going to give her a final chance at a conversation, the warning and then I am pulling the proverbial plug. I am hopeful this will be the catalyst that she will seek help and work out her dismissive avoidant attachment style and not harm our kids with the way she does things. She is a good mom (was a good wife too)when she is/was present, unfortunately she is fooling herself into thinking she is always present when the kiddos tell me otherwise. She disappears into the bedroom and doesn't come out until she has to, and even for her "movie nights" she coordinates, she disappears into her phone or tablet and is present physically but mentally she is checked out. The boys tell me all of this on their own without any prompting. That tells me they notice it more than she realizes and that she is not fooling any of them, nor is able to gaslight them in any way. (Something she did to me ALOT, I was even accused of being a narcissist ...🙄) I hoped we could reconcile but I don't feel it's in the cards for the time being, and like I said maybe a divorce is the catalyst she needs(I need it too at this point)?!? Thanks for putting these things out here to consider. Glad to know I am not the only one experiencing a lot of these issues, not that I'd wish any of this on anyone. 5 years of waiting is a LONG long time...

Thank you Stephen, this is the video I needed to see right now. Wife and I have been separated since February 2022 (she left) and whilst she still doesn't want to reconcile, she has in the past said we are 'seeing how things go'. We get on well when she visits, but her visits only happen when our son returns home from University at present. She shows little inclination to reconcile, or even spend any time alone with me (even to go to shops, or occassional evening out), despite us supposedly seeing how things go. She seems to be making little to no effort to help mend our marriage and relationaship, compared to me, and I have begun to feel latelty that I may be done with trying. However, watchign this video has given me the focus to give us more time, and see how christmas goes (she has said she will have christmas dinner with me and our son). I remain hopeful we can reconcile, but it does need some input form her side at some point too.

Thank you so much for your videos and I needed this one. I’ve been separated from my wife for 6-7 months now and the last few days I’ve been wanting to give up and I’m seeing god’s signs of not giving up and your video is apart of that sign. Everything she didn’t like over the years I’ve changed I’ve been sober 11 months from alcohol, I’m down 110 pounds, I’m more understanding she calls me everyday to talk about her day, we now go to the gym together, we have 3 beautiful kids together and they love seeing us together, we haven’t fought once during this separation but this morning she’s texting me saying she hates feeling alone. How should I handle this?

You very briefly referred to 'midlife crisis' here in your video! Some coaches say that it could last in women between 3 to 5 years though have not seen any evidence for such an argument! What does the data say about the chances of reconciliation here if you know? Thanks.
@ShadowBeard77
@ShadowBeard77 Жыл бұрын
Apparently there isn't any evidence in the social sciences to suggest such a thing as a midlife crisis even exists. This is mainly because the public consideration of what a midlife crisis is is too broad. I saw this on another reputable channel and researched based on that also, and I couldn't find any sound evidence either.
@mano33
@mano33 Жыл бұрын
@@ShadowBeard77 It certainly exists but however it appears that not enough research has been done on it or otherwise publicly publishes and as you say the definition of what it is is very board. The experience though is out of a movie and very shocking thus such an experience certainly exists no matter what one wants to name it!

As someone who has a science degree I can irrefutably say that if the alternate hypothesis is too broad then the power of the study is weak. The whole point of science is to the explain the object of the investigation. Anyways, maybe it will be understood better in future. Who knows?
