Arching your back is cheating and the grip is terrible also why do 12 reps then go up in weight why not do 4 reps then go up? You’re pre exhausted by then other wise you can drop down after and do more

First time watching a video of yours. And I'm impressed by your character, so humble, concise, friendly (unlike the usual fitness youtuber/influencer nowadays who humiliate, flex, and act tough). You're the man :) Good luck on your journey, too. P.S. your voice is also so soothing and brotherly.

Very motivating video ! Any tips on increasing bench and squats ? I'm doing hypertrophy block but increasing strenght is always so fun and motivating
@GetCliffit12 күн бұрын
Thanks Cheetos! That's excellent mate! Outside of the regular tips like consistency I would say a little trick is adding some extra sets of heavy squats and heavy bench on days when you don't have them already programmed! Starting your session off with them so you're nice and fresh. And including some lighter days to really get comfortable with form! How is your current block going mate?
@GamerV0ltZ17 күн бұрын
damn you did a lot of sets very close to your max, impressive work

Great video. I have the same build as you, and you'll be able to pack on the muscle in no time if you're doing 4-5 days. I go 5. Btw I don't know if you do barbell wrist curls, overhand and under but I kept doing them and people have noticed the size of my forearms grow. If you incorporate some forearm exercise, you'll look even more like a unit. Broad shoulders, big chest. I subbed and hope to see more of your workouts.

Mate that is awesome thank you! Great bit of motivation right there 👊💪 you're right I'll make sure to hit some forearms as well! How many sets/reps would you go for in a week?

@GetCliffit2 ай бұрын
David! That's awesome mate! Avoiding injury is king! Do you have any personal advice that's helped you stay in the game?
@david-pb4bi2 ай бұрын
@@GetCliffit I don’t think there are any secrets, I am always sporting an injury on one part of my body, just work around it. As you obviously know you can’t stand still with weightlifting it’s either forward or backwards, it would be nice to say I will stick on 160 for reps but you would just go backwards, so it’s always heavy and hard. ( I have never taken anything other than creatine and whey protein).
@GetCliffit2 ай бұрын
@david-pb4bi that's excellent thanks David! I always say, if you don't use drugs to get it, you won't lose it! Have you had a recurring injury that has come back more than others?
@david-pb4bi2 ай бұрын
@@GetCliffit I gave it serious thought, what I now do is first sign of any pain other than the good muscular stuff is stop instantly, then do something light that day. It took me about forty years to work that out, two years to think of it then another 38 years to actually implement it.
@GetCliffit2 ай бұрын
@@david-pb4bi Hahahaha Mate that's perfect I think that's advice hopefully everyone would learn at some point during their lifting journey. Do you always stick to a program or a plan when you're lifting or with your experience at this point do you just know what you'll be doing each session/week?
