Fantastic review. I wish this was available before I bought mine, I'm glad I took the chance and bought it. Great skiff, lightweight and durable. Tons of fun. I had a 6hp on mine and it felt like I needed a bit more with 2 adults, put a 9.9 on it and works great! SeaEagle customer service is great as well. I've had 2, 200lb+ adults on it and no stability issues at all.

Since it’s 16 ft, it must be registered and have a state registration number plate attached correct?

In NC, yes. If you are motorizing any vessel it has to be registered. Mine is but the permanent numbers and NC sticker had not come in when I filmed the video.

Wow! What a great walkthrough and you covered just about everything...well, I can't think of anything else. LOL! I have been considering replacing my Solo Skiff with one of these so I can take it on road trips to be able to get in some fishing and sightseeing from the water wherever we go. Definitely on my short list. I would love to see another update once you have the motor fully broken in and especially if you take it out where there are some bigger waves. I fish the inshore waters here in the FL Panhandle but the Santa Rosa Sound runs mostly east/west and prevailing winds like to come from the southeast/southwest/northwest so even on a lower wind day, the waves build and can get a little rough. My Solo Skiff is self bailing but it's a very wet ride. This seems like it might be a bit drier but I am curious about that as well. Thanks again!!
@roadtripangler
@roadtripangler 4 күн бұрын
Thanks!! Yea I think it is a pretty dry ride and I have had it in some decent chop. The gas motor pushes it about 10-11mph from what I can tell. Still only doing short burst at full throttle though. A 9.9 would fly.

I currently have the Paddleski but considering upgrading to this one. I don't like the idea of trailering it since the reason I'm going inflatable is for portability. Is it easy to retrieve the boat once you're done fishing from a regular boat ramp? Assuming the trolling motor and battery have been unloaded. Thanks!
@roadtripangler
@roadtripangler 6 күн бұрын
I can lift the hull by myself. Also a kayak cart will do the job even with the motor still on there. It really doesn’t way much more than a fully rigged kayak does. I carried this boat on top of my truck inflated and just removed the seats and gear. I was able to load it by myself too.
@TheAcallejas
@TheAcallejas 3 күн бұрын
I have one of these along with their Easy Cart. What I do it walk into the water until ankle deep and toss the Easy Cart behind the skiff and pull it until it's just under. I then just walk it out of the ramp. Same with launching. Very easy

My 3rd one gets here tomorrow. WARNING: Do not leave these in the heat, over 90 degrees, while tied down with cargo straps! Mine blew out at the Seams(unrepairable), the first time the boat was in warranty(inflated to 15 psi), so it was replaced by Sea Eagle. 4 years later, I had it inflated to 14 psi, tied down by cargo straps(from side to side across the whole boat), stopped at my friend's house, the boat was in the sun(95*), BOOM!! It blew out at the seams on one of the side chambers. So, lessons learned; 1) DO NOT inflate to the full psi during hot summer days(13 psi will be fine). 2) DO NOT tie down across the tops of side chambers from side to side of trailer (tie down on the front winch ring, the rear lift handles- keeping the tie downs on just one side of the trailer, and then finally tying off to the side chambers handles without crossing the whole boat(you want to keep the pressure off the chambers). I love this boat! It is perfect for fly fishing while standing and drifting rivers and running lakes and hopefully later this year I get to take it to the Gulf and fish the coast near Destin! I would recommend this boat 10/10! This boat is super stable for an inflatable! BONUS: Sea Eagle is an excellent company that stands behind their products! Great video! Thank you!

Awesome info and thanks for sharing. I have been looking at these as a replacement for my Solo Skiff (so I can take it on road trips to TN, CO, and NY to visit family members...but still fish because fishing is life. LOL!). I like that I would be able to deflate it and throw it in the back of the truck or in a camper/RV but still have it to use. Also, I live about thirty minutes west of Destin (in Navarre) so if you get down this way, let me know and maybe we can get out and catch some redfish, trout, flounder, and whatever else wants to play. I only fish inshore because I get seasick but luckily there's plenty of inshore fishing here. LOL! I think this boat would be great for offshore as well since it would be so easy to launch from the beach but still have the stability to get back through the breakers and to fight some red snapper, etc out there off shore.

Yes, at least the Yakattack BarCart did. I simply turned the bars perpendicular to the boat and rolled it. Even with the motor on it weighs less than a ProAngler.

Great video, thanks for doing this! I just purchased a Kuda 126 and looking for info and ideas on how to rig it for fishing. What portable pump do you recommend for having on board? Are the inflation fittings adaptable to and compatible with non NRS pumps? What are you using in the video to deflate the kayak?
@roadtripangler
@roadtripangler 11 күн бұрын
Hey! Awesome and congrats! I am carrying a k-pump with me. I believe NRS has them on their site and yes other pumps work but depending on the adaptors it comes with you may have to purchase the correct one for the NRS valve. I picked up this electric pump from them which has the right adaptor and I use it to deflate as well! www.nrs.com/bravo-high-pressure-12-volt-pump/p35c

I chose the KUDA 126 for use when we are traveling and camping with our pull behind camper. No need for a truck rack and all the hassle of loading and unloading. Can you recommend a list of mounting hardware needed to secure a paddle, rod holders, crate, etc...?
@roadtripangler
@roadtripangler 11 күн бұрын
Nice! So I am a big fan of Yakattack. I usually mount their rotogrip on one side up front. I use one and the bow bungee or just one and lay the back of my paddle down the side. I like the omega rod holders for the two mounts behind the seat and I use the 13x16 backpack usually. The mount in the center between your feet is a great spot for their TracPak. You just need their mightymount switch to mount on the bases.

Thanks for watching! It hasn’t been all good. I mean it was until after that video lol. I now have replaced the water pump, transmission pump work, and an ac compressor. But I am at 130k now. These all went out within the last few months at different times. The transmission problem was in the pump and I was able to save the transmission because I knew it didn’t sound right and caught it before it started eating into the metal.
