Where did you get the paper with the panel? Thanks!!
@Gator1595 күн бұрын
At least a controversial thing leading to the funny strip being canceled goes both ways, Dilbert has left all of the papers and never returned... I never cared about whatever it is the author goes into on his apparent KZfaq rants but I really loved the Dilbert comic.

Thank you so much for this review. THIS MADE THE MOVIE SO MUCH BETTER. I watched it alone and cried "lickable" tears.

I am still thinking about writing digital mangas before I can create physical copies of them. I may have to create my comic publishing website to self-publish instead.

Charles Schultz wanted his strip to end. He believed in making way for new talent. I don't blame his heirs for wanting to keep the gravy train going, I blame the papers and their unwillingness to innovate. I'm older and I grew up reading some great strips that are now nothing more than footnotes, Dondi, Pogo, Lil' Abner, Steve Canyon, Little Orphan Annie at the tail end of its original run. It seems as though newspapers are committed to twentith-century art in a fifteenth century medium. Truly sad

I remember that I used to watch this show all the time as a child. Now, as an adult, I constantly think, "How have these kids not died?!" This is especially true for episodes such as "Totally Rad" in which Hacker bet that he would get Inez.

I was already in fifth grade when this originally aired, though I did still watch the first two seasons fairly regularly. One of my favorite episodes was one known as "Gravity Groove" (Season 1 Episode 14), which centers on a dance competition where two of the main characters get sprayed with "Gravity Spray" which makes them have heavier steps than normal. Which they worry will hinder there ability in competition. It is also notable for being the only episode to feature the song used in the show's original trailer, although it isn't the full version. But one episode that also ranks among my favorites is the season 2 finale known as "Revolutionary Doughnuts", which was also the last episode to have Lisa as a main character in the story segments.

to your point about the show never really leaving the workplace, i do remember it being advertised as a workplace comedy. given more time to find its footing, I'm sure it would've branched outward. like in Community, i believe the entire first season never leaves the Greendale campus - then the first thing you see in Season 2 is each of the Greendale 7 in their home, getting out of bed. Dan Harmon talked in the DVD commentary about the show growing outward during season 2 & showing more of their personal lives as the characters grew to care more about each other. I wish this show had been given a similar chance, but ah well. the one joke that still makes me laugh is that all the Atlanteans are weirdly obsessed with Brendan Fraser movies.
