I have never sat through a Doctor Who vid with more fear in my heart that I would get to see clips of Jame Gordon speaking lines of dialogue. Which would have sent me in a dark path of flashbacks of all his lines from Cats perpetuating my waking nightmares. Good vid.

This list is definitely not accurate, but you have to realize the 11th doctor was my first Doctor, not my favorite but it's been a bit since I've seen some of these 5. Girl who Waited 4. The eleventh Hour 3. Vincent and the Doctor 2. Name of the Doctor 1. Amy's Choice Honorable mentions in no order to: Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, Pandorica opens/Big Bang, Christmas Carol, Impossible Astronaut/Day of the moon, Doctors Wife, God Complex, Cold War, Day of the Doctor.

General question: how is 11 and rivers song incestuous? He wasn't related to Amy or Rory, and the only reason river is part time lord is because she was incubated in the Tartis.

this, moreso than the other doctor arcs, feels like the writers were just trying to jam in romance for the sake of romance into the show. idk why this happens so often in TV, it's usually a real easy say to turn me off of something.

Series 5-7A is probably my favourite part of new who, so I’ll preface with that. I think Eleven was always better when written by Moffat himself, he seems to be the writer who understands the Doctor better than anyone else. I think it was the same in the RTD era: I never felt that RTD wrote the Doctor very well compared to Moffat, which is probably why I don’t like series 2 and the series 4 finale. Moffat has his problems with long arcs but I appreciate the ambition of the Silence and the change in pace for his finales. Every single Moffat finale is a restrained character piece, which is a nice change from Davies. Overall, I’d say the only episodes I don’t think are good are Victory of the Daleks, Closing Time, The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe, Asylum of the Daleks, Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, and Nightmare in Silver. My top five would have to be: 1. The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang 2. The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon 3. A Good Man Goes to War 4. The Eleventh Hour 5. The Angels Take Manhattan (Special mention to Amy’s Choice, Vincent and the Doctor, The Doctor’s Wife, The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex, A Town Called Mercy, The Snowmen, Cold War, The Name of the Doctor, The Day of the Doctor). My series ranking would be: 1. Series 6 2. Series 5 3. Series 4 4. Series 7 5. Series 3 6. Series 1 7. Series 2

I've never heard anyone else talk about this, so maybe it's just a me-thing, but round about 2012 I started to get annoyed how much this era pushed characters' catchphrases. It was. A lot. "Hello Sweetie." "Spoilers!" "I wear a [quirky piece of clothing] now! [Quirky pieces of clothing] are cool!" "I speak everything." "For the glory of the Sontaran Empire!" And so on and so forth. And then Day of the Doctor (which I love, don't get me wrong) tried to retroactively do it to the Tenth Doctor by bringing back "Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey" as a running gag. I don't remember the Capaldi years doing the same thing, so it may have been something Moffat just grew out of. But, man, it got grating after a while.
