One of the best videos for beginners with Alocasias I've seen. Can't 100% agree with everything, but... The light, the best watering technique and the humidity are always more than one way to deal with. I have more then 30 Alocasias in different potting medias. In different soil mixes in leca in coco based substrate in moss in aquarium stratum.... In terracotta and in plastic pots. The combo of terracotta and peat based soil mix is what they love, but not for seedlings. Never tried pon and self watering pots. Use for all of them growlight all seasons. Humidity is ambient 40-50%

Hey, I've just found your channel. I'm in the UK! Wonderful!! Your presentation and content is excellent and your views/subscribers don't reflect where you should be! I don't know how to boost your views but you deserve a huge following. Never give up! You are nailing it. Random thought but would gifting some plants to influencers or popular KZfaqrs with plantcare advice boost you. Someone like the lovely Poala Merril. The cottage fairy. 1.5 million subscribers. Just a thought. Best wishes from the UK. 😊

This happened to me with my red veined prayer. Waited weeks for it to recover from a repotting. Thought I’d throw her away she was so far gone. Ended up cutting the leaf nodes back and placing directly in filtered water only. Every limp & tightly curled leaf was unfurled the next day & roots formed in as little as 3 days. Placed them in a homemade soil blend and hopefully she starts to take off again.

I killed a maidenhairfern once before, and almost again this year. But i bought a desktop greenhouse from ikea for it and now it's super happy. Turns out what kept harming mine was drafts.

Thank you for this!! Ferns have been so difficult for me (I realize now it's because I live in a very dry climate) but these were great tips, I'm hopeful to revive them!

I do NOT use feeders with sugar water. Sugar is bad for humans, so why feed it to hummingbirds? Argh.

There are wonderful channels that use no drainage vessels. You should watch them because they are unreal. There are plants, I would not put in no drainage and others I am trying. I like PON so that works for me.

I bought one and is a game changer. I have to fill it twice to take care of all my plants. Easy to add the water and fertilizer. Straight spray or just a drizzle whatever you decide.
@sabrinasabrina6206Ай бұрын
You’re right that’s why I use the water bottle a small one that I’m able to maneuver fill it up with half water and whatever nutrients it might need and water. I don’t grow big plants, but I do got a couple of them that are kind of hard to get to the, bottom to water but at least once a month I take them all and put them in the shower and take a shower. I refused to buy a watering can of any kind
