Maintenance Mode is a better solution IMO. This way, you are not messing with the harness.

It seems that airfilter is upside down. You should have pleat side into the airflow for more surface area(look at how the OE filter had this orientation), the mesh is the back side and should be the part that air comes out of. The filter should also have a directional arrow to indicate airflow path.

You can get header exhausts ecu flash ( supercharger) which i recommend to transform it also turbo which i dint recommend all from ozjimny australia. Or bullet cars queensland do it too. Which would be better because they are not just on line. Dont leave them stock they boring stock

I highly doubt this has any effect on the performance cause the diameter of the tubes and throttle body the air passes through are still the same. Maybee it sounds different than stock what's tricks you into thinking it's faster. Same effect as a sports louder exhaust. Also I'm pretty sure the filter mat is the wrong way around. The metal mesh should be the clean side of the filter. The mesh will support the fabric while air is rushing through.

It this really a problem though? When I have my Jimny on the beach it runs fine at any speed once I get it on the hard stuff, and in the soft stuff I'm going less than 30km because I don't want to roll or otherwise break my car. For the really soft stuff such as getting on or off the beach, I'm in low range anyway. I was worried that I'd have to do either this or the ESC maintenance mode hack but at this point I'm not sure I see the need. I don't know, maybe some people drive their Jimny at high speed in really soft sand but I think the wheel base is way too short to be safe or comfortable.

Can't you just put a switch in the green cable ?

I got an ECU flash on mine. Made a huge difference, guessing weighing f.all really helps with that. Any little gain is significant

Yes not a good thing to override this way, better to loop the black/tan wire at the acceleration pedal. It’s a permanent fix that doesn’t record isolation, once looped at the pedal it just a simple 8 second hold of the switch every time you want to disengage the traction control. I understand why you went to the source but definitely a no-no, easier permanent way to on/off the traction issue.
