Bigguy Jimny Adventures: 4x4 & Camping

Great videos thanks very much. I was wanting your opinion on your Ironman GVM upgrade please. I pick up my Brisk Blue Jimny in October and have a lot of decisions to make. between OME, Toughdog foam cell or the Ironman which is the only actual GVM upgrade. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

Hey man getting close to pick up - super exciting! I think the decision whether to go GVM really depends on how you wanna use the vehicle.. it is rated for constant load so if your vehicle is often empty or without a decent amount of heavy mods its gonna bump at the top of the shocks and make alot of annoying noise. However if your gonna be loading up the vehicle often, the GVM is worth its weight in gold imo. We took on some pretty hard tracks this last weekend fully laden for camping and its times like these I am super happy I went with the GVM... however if I was using the car differently - not loading it up often and not upgrading with mods I def would have gone for a different lift - prob the OME. Hope that helps!

It looks like your filming using a cell phone. I do too. My question though, what microphone are you using? Asking as it picks up your voice perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by! We were using our phones for this vid but have since upgraded to some GoPros - I just grabbed some cheapie lavalier microphones from JB HiFi, couldn't tell you the brand sorry but they were nothing fancy - I think they cost around $30!

@@CampsiteQLD Thanks for answering. I got my Jimny on June 13. Made a few videos with my cellphone with an external Boya mic. Tried cheap action cameras but they haven’t delivered an acceptable picture quality. The phone works pretty better. Have budgeted for a few car mods, then later maybe a better camera.

@@BorisEkner no probs man! Congrats on the fresh Jimny! Great feeling - good luck on the mods! Yeah def found the gopro straight outta the box is a bit rubbish, but once you tweak the settings the 7 and 9s have been great, but for sure phones these days are pretty incredible!

Hey bud, no - there was long waits on ordering the GVM kit and we decided that since we are very unlikely to be selling it interstate the post-rego upgrade would be fine for us
