Guillermo Del Toro was at one point in time trying to make a period piece movie (i.e. set in time in which the story is written and film rating R) with Tom Cruise as the lead character... But the fools that were funding the idea said "This is good, but we want to increase the range of people we can market it to... Can you film it and make it PG?"... G.D.T. walked away at that point when he couldn't change their minds... Can you imagine the stupidity of the people funding this? Can you image what would have happened to the "Alien" genre of movies if the first movie was PG? There would have been no "genre" and nothing past the first film IMHO... Hopefully G.D.T. will eventually find someone to fund this before he retires from directing (or dies)...

As a disabled person I am so happy you handled this with such carefulness around physical pain. The nhs (healthcare system in the uk where I live) has appropriated a small bit of Buddhism, but not any of the ethics or worldview, and is using it to tell people in physical pain we should be able to just think it away by meditation and mindfulness, so they don’t need to help us. It’s very hard not to internalise it to beat yourself up mentally, to the point that I came to this to try and get help with very bad migraine pain, instead of taking a tablet. I’m so glad I came to this one instead of something different, I’ll go take my meds and save this for when it’s just mental suffering. Thankyou so much!!! 💜
