So glad to see a moneyball reference, I’ve been saying that for the whole offseason.

Mitch really struggled against strong physical detachables he was throwing in Josh's lap way too often Mitch does pretty well against the athletic guys put those with a physical presence ate his lunch repeatedly. Either that every Bill's opponent the last 2 years has an all World defensive tackle

Without the negative energy of Diggs, I think it will be much lighter in the locker room!! This is 100% Josh’s Team now!!!!

I don’t agree Diggs was a great player…. Very good ? Maybe ?? But to take the sample size of all the seasons … he was mediocre … due to falling out at end of seasons and in playoffs …. And the look you give when the pressure is on , is what makes one great … and it didn’t happen with Diggs … so I disagree , Diggs was not great ….
@Vipaworld_VitoКүн бұрын
It’s a tough schedule … and all opponents will be up for bills … I think All the newbies in various areas are better but, the will the continuity be there … ??

With no ball hog on the team …. And no pressure to force feed a player … Will Allen have the mental ability to properly read the D, choose the correct audible, and hit the open Receiver …. If so, They will be the top NFL offense . Big question ….is Allen smart enough ? that’s my concern … With a bigger and better hands receiving corp, Allen should have an uptick in Completion percentage …the ball doesn’t have to be perfectly placed to be caught like it did for Davis …. Knox still the dropper.
@ill4mz54Күн бұрын
Lol Allen scored high on the test they gave him during his recruitment. Allen needs to be calm enough to let a play develope and that wasn't true under Dorsey. In Allen's defense, dorseys plays were way over engineered. Allen will be fine as long as the recievers can either make a decision to get open when tied up and if the line can hold up long enough for a play to develope to its extended stages

Has the potential but time will tell. I think they’re a more complete unit, and I feel good about the OL

Ray davis definitely is a very dynamic ball toucher but I still feel like he can reach new heights with his ball touching ability. Hopefully during training camp the coaches do some personal 1 on 1 training with him focused purely on his ball touching

Enjoyed the positional evaluations, Joe! I feel like you're teasing us a bit, though. When you put the position grades all together, what is your final evaluation for the offense as a whole? I feel like based on what you've discussed so far, and considering Brady's limited success even with Diggs, Davis lack of production last year, it seems like our offense can be slightly better this year. We have a lot of unique receiver skillsets to tinker with, and I imagine a good portion of those darts can stick. More importantly, without the midseason coordinator change and turbulence, I feel like we'll have more consistency this year. If we had been steadier last year, we pick up a few of those last-second regular season losses, and I think the playoffs end up looking differently. What am I missing? Love the podcast. Thanks for what you do.

I'm not expecting perfection early. There's going to be bumps along the way. I do think they can compete with any team, and they should win as much as last year.
@lesmoore3638Күн бұрын
Belichick had Jimmy Garoppolo as Brady's backup and a team that Brady's small contract afforded him. Yes he was inexperience when he sucked at Cleveland in new york. You have to remember that this is McDermott's first time as a head coach. I went back and looked at reports regarding Andy Reid when he was at Philadelphia. it's striking how many complaints are similar. What do you remember about Marv levy? What I remember about him was him getting fired as a head coach and doing preseason football games for the bills before he landed in the perfect situation. There's just too many variables involved for me to cut him loose right now especially when I can see no replacement forthcoming. What great coach is going to leave their present situation and come to buffalo?

I agree 100% diggs was a cancer. Davis was a turd. I think what they have now could be very dangerous for defenses. All of the guys are hungry and wanting to prove themselves. It could be a very exciting season

No you're not 💯. They were better when Joe Brady took over and Diggs averaged 4 catches and 50 yards during that time.

Look I respect all of your opinions can we please stop with this digs thing please he was going to leave regardless he was never going to be a part of Joe Brady's offense are y'all kidding The reason why he was doing pretty good with the other office according before he got fired in the middle of the season was because that office of coordinator was the protege of our office of coordinator who actually wanted digs on the team That's the reason why he's gone That's the reason why he had an attitude because he knew that with our new offense of coordinator he wouldn't be here because he didn't fit the scheme That's why he's gone point blank and. Enough with the digs BS he played good he's gone let's cheer on the Buffalo bills this isn't the New York Josh Allen team this isn't the New York stefon Digs team this is the Buffalo bills players will come and go and they still haven't done what all of us are praying before we die gets done and that's bring a super bowl so I don't care who is on this team bring us the f****** bowl pardon my language on that last part but we're all grown here just saying and I wasn't cussing at you by the way I'm not swearing at you I have nothing against you Miss Amy

To use an overused phrase. The WR room ceiling is way higher now than it was and the floor is no lower. Let's stop talking about Diggs as elite. He wasn't even close to elite last year, he was above average all total at best and below average the last half of the season. Same with RB room, ceiling is higher and floor the same.

If Josh said he was getting bored with the offense, the changes made in the WR group will definitely keep Josh and all of us from getting bored. We are going to be paying close attention to it. Fans of other teams that I talk with are also paying attention. Josh is a fantasy point hog, and I don't think that is going to change. It's just a question of who rises up out of the WR group.
@user-gr1gy9rq4hКүн бұрын
The Bills lose Diggs, Davis and Morse. The Bills fill them in with Coleman, Edwards and Samuel (supposedly). Hmmmm. Better? Lots of questions and opinions being thrown around. I want to see what this team looks like before rendering an opinion on whether the offense is better or not. I'm most excited with the addition of Ray Davis and what he brings to the backfield.
@krakheddКүн бұрын
This is how I've been trying to frame it - maybe losing some top-end talent, but overall better-suited to succeed w/ the style of game McD says he wants to run (for better or worse, as I've made my opinion on McD well-known), and overall it seems like the team's floor is much higher

I think diggs not being with the bills is a non factor last 10weeksof the season diggs was a nonfat ror in the offense then diggs choked in the playoffs dropping passes against KC and Davis had been a non fa tor most of the 2023 season bills are way better now on offense to me it's addition by subtraction
@lesmoore3638Күн бұрын
Comparing the facts of the 2023 offense with the hopes and dreams of 2024 is fun BUT an educated gamble at best. Go back and read the rave reviews of Sheffield following OTAs.

I will not bet against a motivated Stefon Diggs. I think he quit the last 10 games and now that he is on a new team with a chip on his shoulder, he will be ver good in Houston while he is surrounded by Tank Dell and Nico Collins. Diggs may not have been effective those last ten games but his portfolio of success cannot and should not be discounted. I think the guy can play when motivated. Now if he doesn't get his targets, he may not be motivated.......
