After watching the anime I started reading Hajime no Ippo manga, and I was like "Oh, nice, they mention Eder Jofre!" This mention is missing in the anime.

Undoubtedly, Pacquio is a great fighter and would beat Harada and Eder, however, I'm sure Pacquio not call them'' tomato cans''. Disrespect is not part of the sport, and does not serve civilized relations. Disregarded the Filipinos, who once said'' that Filipinos are worth less than a dog'' and had shot, anyone older than 10 years in the Philippines. '' You remember the suburbs of hell''?
@alfarabi734 жыл бұрын
Harada would beat Pacquiao if they fought at flyweight or bantamweight.
@fernandochiarelli12 жыл бұрын
Undoubtedly, Rustico seems it was a good fighter, but with varied career,'' a'' win-lose, and carry to the grave victory over pacquio. I do not think it correct to use derogatory words against any fighter because boxing is the noble art, and respect is the first rule.

@ConradHeinrich 100% Agree. Boxing don't need any WWE fans or ppl who think this technical sport should look like a Rocky movie!!! Ward just said it after beating Abraham 120-108 and Mayweather have been saying it for a long time. Theres nothing great in taking punishment. Hit and don't get hit.

@fernandochiarelli O energúmeno, o Éder perdeu pq a luita foi realizada no Japão, só vc não percebe -.- !!!!!!!!
@Marcius00513 жыл бұрын

Whenver Ottke sat behind his punches he had power. It wasn't his stye though, he tended to box on his toes. A fine technician and good champ who stayed on too long though when his legs had gone. With this style that isn't possible. His final few fights were ugly.

@Preschi false. his reral record was 27-5-2. he lost to larsen, brewer, johnson, reid, and markussen. he drew with mitchell and brewer (second fight). he always won lousy deciison. and a real amn would admit it. he complained to refs, and allowed them to steal for him. what a bitch!
@sigwart14 жыл бұрын
The KO is the highlight of the sport, and it is smart for a fighter to be able to end the contest before the sceduled time if he can. However, the safety of both fighters is the most important thing. My point in my statement was that ottke has a well below average KO ratio, and out of only 6 he has 2 brutal KO's. This one, where he knocks the guy out and sends him to the hospital, and the other one where he knocks mundine unconscious.
@sigwart14 жыл бұрын
For a guy with only 6 ko's in 35 fights, he had 2 highlight KO wins. Natasha rigozina would've KO'd nardiello with one punch.

except that "dempsey roll" is something made by the Manga... Actually Tyson and Dempsey share similarities in fighting style as both of them were swarmers. Although Tyson's peek a boo defense is a little different from Dempseys defensive apporach.

If only Calzaghe could have fought Ottke in a neutral venue like USA then we would have seen Ottke for the bum he was. His "knockout" wins were against two bums in Mundine and Nardiello who had glass temples. Few fighters get knocked out with shots like that.....it makes you wonder if they were offered money to dive? Calzaghe is a legend. Ottke has been retired for 6 years and even though time is kind to retired fighters - Ottke is still regarded as a cheating fraud.
@lemonite115 жыл бұрын
i understand your arguement. Most boxing fans today judge fighters by who they fought rather than how they fought. He spent a great portion of his career as a Thai Kick Boxer and was a legend at that. he did'nt start orthodox boxing till he was 21. I thought he was great at least, he was a true champ in my book. I think he would've beaten anyone at his weight during his era. Why he did,nt fight Moon we'll never know but i don't take that away from him.
@Mowglieboy6915 жыл бұрын
In the Super Flyweight division he probably hit has hard as anyone, though he has some competition from guys like Moon and Darchinyan. Overall though, through all weight classes and taking into account more than just power, there's no way he belongs anywhere near a top 20. There are a few fighters from his own division who deserve to rank higher based on accomplishments, as they actually fought the best around the time, whereas Galaxy didn't.
@lemonite115 жыл бұрын
for the flyweight division, yes.i can't pick anyone at that division that hit as hard as he did. he had an iron chin as well.i'm probably not going to change your mind but give the guy a break, he accomplished alot in a tough sport.
@Mowglieboy6915 жыл бұрын
And hitting hard is a just reason for ranking among the top 20 P4P fighters in the history of a 120 year old sport over 17 weight classes? There have been quite a few fighters that hit hard, I doubt he'd rank among the top 20 under that criteria alone.
@lemonite115 жыл бұрын
i don't know if i agree with you. That guy hit hard.
