We need significantly brighter OLED pc monitors. In 2024, next generation QD-OLED & MLA were supposed to remedy the issue, but the pc variants released so far have all been mediocre. Presently, the LG G4 blows away the competition, but few prefer a screen this large for pc use.

What about the new budget IPS, LG 27GS75Q-B IPS 180-200Hz 1440p, HDR10, not sure if this is just limited to AU/NZ product , can not find any reviews as yet? The older "GR" 165Hz, newer "GS" 180-200Hz. I know IPS lacks HDR but IPS is a good compromise, and price point if your doing other things as well as gaming. Would be good to see some good IPS reviews.
i went through a lot of cables with a long run since i didnt want to be cooked alive by my rig, turned out my troubles were because lg farmed pure crap to costco versions of their qhd monitor. though Cable Matters active displayport extender also earned some ire their usb micro cable couldnt even fit into the extender

Thanks for the video. I have a low-end gaming machine with a 1070 ti and lower-end cpu. This works for 1080p gaming. I'm happy with this and I'm looking for a nice "comfortable" 1080p monitor, since I understand that 1080p games on a 1440 panel tend to appear as blurry. Any recommendations for a nice-but-budget-friendly 1080p monitor (27 or 32 inch)? I plan to consume media and play RPGs, strategy, and a mix of everything else, including occasional shooters. Any and all advice would be appreciated!

As far as brightness is concerned, the last hope for pc OLED monitors in 2024 is the Asus PG32UCDP. The brightness for the QD-OLED variants, especially at a 10% window size, has been subpar at best.

I just noticed that my monitor got 2 white lines on the screen, and like a dot at the corner where they meet. I also noticed the lines and corner are exactly where a theatremode youtube video is, making the outline of the youtube video. Could those be actually related? Or is this monitor just damaged? It is a 1080p 144hz flat VA panel.

If there were no burn-in guaranteed for at least 10 years, I would buy an OLED. However, having your panel at risk of burn-in every time you turn it on is a no-go. I don't want to purchase a monitor every 3 years or degrade my panel when using it - at all.

I feel the need for low-budget 1440p monitors. I need to buy 2x 1440p monitors, but I dont want to spend 600 on them. is there any disadvantage on using 1x 1440p monitor for gaming etc, and then 2x auxiliar monitors that are smaller and 1080p only? Will I have GPU issues or something? CHeers

MSI sent me the 321URX to make a video on for professional use, using it right now, but it's a no go for me. There's a point whereby these things become too bright, especially if you're using them for 8+ hours per day. You can have dark mode everything but too many applications and websites still do that super annoying thing where they briefly flash a bright white screen at you before switching to black, and that's enough to burn your eyeballs on these things, it just takes one instance to trigger a severe headache or migraine. It looks incredible, the colours are insane, but something like a 32:9 ultra widescreen is a far better choice for most professional workflows.

I've actually been in the process of returning my Odyssey G8 UW for the Neo G7 32" 4K monitor, I've been pretty excited since I'm a bit worried of burn in, and I do productivity on top of gaming. I decided on a 4K since it'll be great to pair with my 4080 S, and I got the Neo G7 for $450 brand new since I got the student discount off the samsung site.

The option "Set up G-sync" does not show on my Nvidia control panel (@10:00). I have a Samsung Odyssey G5 Monitor and an RTX 4070 TI Super plugged in with an HDMI cable (@4:29). Freesync is enabled in the monitor's menu. Even though I don't get screen tears or stutters, I'd appreciate if someone could tell me why this option is not available for me.
@accountteam9859Күн бұрын
The "Set up G-Sync" option only shows up if you are either using DisplayPort or HDMI 2.1, your monitor's HDMI ports are HDMI 2.0, that's why the option doesn't appear for you. Use a DisplayPort cable instead and the option will appear on the NVCP.

I'm looking for a 4K 27 inch monitor and am currently down to Benq EX2710U and LG 27GP95RP-B. The Benq is about $100 more expensive, but features built-in speakers. Have you had the chance to test this Benq model (or perhaps the 32 inch version - EX3210U)? And is the LG comparable to GP950, as I can barely find any reviews for this refreshed model.
