Very clever explanation of how to understand the CAGED system, it won't help me play a clean F unfortunately but I am a lot better informed now, cheers for that mate.

This is the Best description of CAGED that I've seen. I get it (now). However - I can't play all of these 'Shapes' up the neck. The 'C' Shape; forget about it! Hahaha! Nice job! 😊👏🏻🥂.

I love triads, and chord shapes ..... You explain something relatively "simple" in its' "simplest" form Den. Awesome video brother, great graphics!!! 😎🎸 P.S. Love the Playbook.

That was awesome thank you Question what of the F chord and B chord shape u move them up the neck they still make other chord too
@LearningGuitarSecrets3 күн бұрын
So happy you liked it! Yes. So the common way to play an F is using an "E shape". If you keep moving it up the fretboard it becomes all the other chords. The common way to play a B chord is using an "A shape". Keep moving it up the fretboard to play all your other chords too!
@philjames10194 күн бұрын
These points are so straight forward, but when taught in this logical manner, they become even simpler. Well done Den .... so, so useful mister!!! 😎🎸

The explanation is brilliantly simple. Great video. However, you don't discuss how this is useful to a guitar player. It'd probably make the lesson a bit more complicated but an example of how the CAGED system is useful would be helpful.

What simplification do you recommend for the end of the chorus?
@fretworkband32046 күн бұрын
The sign of a good teacher is to take something that seems complicated and simplify it so it can be understood. This was good in spades!

Am I missing something, lol? What's the shape? as I can't tell exactly where his fingers are . Is the A shape.. E, A and D? or an A triad, A, Db and E. Yes, I'm a dummy, but I just need this cleared up. God bless you
@joetroutt74256 күн бұрын
I honestly thought the caged system was to help you understand chord progressions. But what do I know
