Many weapons in the bag at hands reach, able to withstand multiple massive weapon strikes, strength multiplied X times during their evolution, redeye-ing/aggroing all enemies, able to dodge most attack with skill and elegance, unbreakable shield, etc.. Who "looks the part" better ? Our frail avatar wearing a single weapon in hand and rags.. or a massive plated pursuer, truly ?

Ranni didnt kill Godwyn. She just killed herself. The night of black knives story we hear first from Rogier. He tells us he is investigating the Murder in the ancient story. Fia tells us she is sleeping with Rogier and he talks about a murder... But she has no idea what hes talking about. But she wants us to help him... (Maybe now you see why she is suspicious, knowing who she actually is) Then after we finish Stormveil castle, Rogier cant walk anymore. (And if we investigate stormveil fully we know Rogier got killed by Deathblight under the castle) from this point on, Rogier is not Rogier. He is one of Those who Live in Death. (Though we might not realise this) And he starts telling us Those Who live in Death arent bad. We should be nice to them. Its not their fault... Oh and he wants to still investigate that Murder. Because he is immobile he asks that we keep investigating for him. So we do. We find the Black Knife print for him. Inside the Eternal City. An ancient place whos people learned how to forge Black Knives and were Punished for their transgression. Then He tells us Ranni used it last to make the Black Knives and imbued it with death. When we confront Ranni she admits to making the knife. And she admit to killing herself. she never mentions Godwyn at all. The Black knife assassins are not Ranni's to control. They are not Carians or Raya Lucarians or Marionette puppets. They are Numen, scions of the Eternal city, who made the Black Knives long ago. Marika is Also a Numen. The Assassins even fight like Marika's daughter Melina fights. And their blades resemble her blade. The Assassins even attack Ranni. Killing her Persceptor and her War Counselor and trying to kill Blaidd. She even has one of them locked in an Evergaol. Alecto. The ringleader of the plot to kill Godwyn. Let me make it clear. Marika ALWAYS had her black knife assassins. They dont just show up after Ranni makes her dagger. She makes the same dagger that Marikas Black Knife Assassins wield. She makes her own copy. And imbues it with death so SHE can die. Ranni's soul and Godwyns body both survived though! I hear you saying. Well how this happens is easily explained by in game lore. Sorceress Sellen traps her soul in Primal Glinstone and has us move it from one of her bodies to a spare. One that Selvius keeps under his keep. So. This is a technique that Sorcerers use to preserve their soul. Ranni is a Sorcerer. She knows about the technique if Selvius does. She is in a puppet body when we meet her. This is how Ranni keeps her Soul alive ehen she kills herself. As for Godwyn. His BODY survives. How? Dragon Communion gives your body an Immortal Dragon heart. A heart that never dies and always beats. A Body that cant Die. Even if the Soul is removed. Eben if every bone in your body is crushed to pulp like Igon's is. You still survive. Rogier's version of the night of black knives is told to us so early that it influences how we precieve all other pieces of information surrounding it. We arent looking at things through an unbiased persepctive. My account is the unbiased perspective. The story rogier gives is Those Who Live in Death Prophaganda. Its Fia trying to get us ON HER SIDE. No one else says "Godwyn was the favorite". Its not on an item description. Not in a ghosts dialouge. Or any other dialogue. Morgott doesnt mention him. Godrick doesnt mention him. Not one single place besides Fia implies this is true. Yet everyone accepts it as an absolte inalterable fact. Based on GODWYNS GIRLFRIENDS OPINION. And dont try to say "well dragons liked him" because he didnt stop Granssax from attacking the Capital. And besides Fia IS Fortissax. Godwyns best dragon friend became the Deathbed Companion Fia. Thats why Fortissax is inside Fia's dream (the Deathbed Dream) Deathroot? That's just the Scadutree. Coming through from the other side via Godwyns Corpse. To eventually wrap and strangle the Erdtree and begin the age of the Duskborn. The whole DLC is inside Godwyns realm.

I'm pretty sure that the Crucible is exactly the same concept of the old one. A magazine of souls that spread a deep fog and collepts every demoniac soul inside of it. The old one was doomed to become something enormous, so i think that the Lands Beetween, are built above the branches of a similar demon, between the sea of fog. that would explain the shattering after removing a rune from the elden ring, because the it is directly connected to life, and the crucible is a place where all aspect of life was blended (very similar to the bad ending of demon's souls, where every soul was collected by the old one inside the deep fog). So the shattering is caused by the awakening of the crucible, after a piece of the construct that keeps him tamed was broken. (In fact there are also similarities between the "magic square" of the nexus, that blocked the old one, with the elden ring and the dark sign). P.s. the symbol on the crucible armor is identical to the old one

The illuminate might be deployed in incredibly small numbers along side the automatons, hence why some divers see their lasers when fighting the automatons. They might be doing this to learn more about super earth and the helldivers tactics or even testing new technology in real combat situations. The reason they aren’t making their presence obvious might be because they are not strong not enough in the event that super earth decides to do something about it like launch and operation to capture new technology and remove their small forces from areas of operation and they are trying to preserve the few troops they do have. About the Automaton patrols and their chanting, I frequently run past patrols and listen to them. One thing I often hear when they see me is "Human Scum" and "F*ck You" (yes I'm serious😅) They also chant something like "Death to ****, death to *****" while marching forwards. But I can't make up that last bit they say after "Death To...." I will try to spend some time sneaking up behind patrols to listen.
